Eve Store Tax (Not NES)

Error 1: Logging into the website then clicking on Store changes account.

Error 2: Clicking buy on selected item again changes account.

Error 3: Some Russian text stuff on the wrong account (neither account is related to Russia they are both mine and as explained previously in regards to Russian errors on the website, if CCPs spyware think I am in Russia, its off by about a quarter of the world).

I then get through on the intended account, and Sales Tax is added to the price. This is illegal here (prices for items presented to privates must include tax). But as CCP is not local it may be legal for them. However I do not remember this being case, as far as I remember they used to justify the exchange rate on Euro (same price in USD and Euro on their products) with VAT being included in the price.

Question: Is it me remembering wrong, or when did CCP start this process of displaying Euro prices without tax in the website store?

EDIT:Added tax to title.

Rules around the world are different. What is illegal in one country is common practive in another, like (not) including taxes in the price.

So it makes sense that the EVE website wants to know where you live.

It sounds like the EVE website guesses you are in Russia and applied Russian localization to taxes and language.

Since you say you don’t live in Russia, could anything cause the EVE website to think you do?

Are you using a VPN?
Or have you bought EVE PLEX or Omega via Steam for cheap Russian prices in the past?

If you got anything new to add, like if it actually is legal for CCP to not include tax in Euro prices, then go ahead and add it.

Highlighted the part you missed, or that is some serious error if that is supposed to be Russian.

As I told you last time, I am not going to fix the Russia problem for CCP, doesn’t matter if they ask for debug information via a troll fanboy account. Also this information is strictly private security, and asking in a public forum is simply unacceptable. Your post has been reported.

And next you are going to accuse the entire population of The Russian Federation of lying about being Russian in order to “prove” that I am Russian. We both know where this goes.

Good luck with your issues!

Asking questions is not accusing, but sure, go ahead and be hostile to people trying to help. Have fun getting your issue solved by getting angry at people asking questions.

have you not seen them post before, their history shows they are overtly hostile

No, but calling statements for questions is wrong.

There is also no attempt at help in the above, pay attention to the topic of the thread. Tittle, question actually asked etc. And stop helping the first troll derail the thread into a sub error encountered during the process.

Questions were asked, and you took them as insults and didn’t answer them. Knowing what country you are in would be helpful to know what laws apply. If you are using a VPN, that could be why the CCP website thinks you might be in Russia, but you won’t even say if you are using one or not. He was trying to help you identify the cause of the issue, but you attacked him. CCP needs to know where you are so they know what currency to charge you, what laws (taxes) apply to your point of sale, etc. People can pay in EUR, and not be part of the EU and have different taxes.

How does what country I am, affect the topic of this thread?

Already explained that above.

You need to read the first post again. The issue is tax on Euro prices. Not about me or Russia or any of the other things you bring up.

To verify laws about taxes, which you do complain about.

Do you? You actually never answer that though. If you aren’t using one, then just say so. If you are, well then that’s why you aren’t getting your expected results.

Euro prices can be listed in countries not in the EU. Telling us Euro prices actually doesn’t tell us anything.

Well I made a post to answer, but since it only contained quotes, the forum won’t let me post it, you will simply have to actually read the thread.

This is from the rules of this category, you are not giving enough details to be able to figure out what is giving you this issue. If you don’t want to further explain, I suggest this thread gets closed.

Yeah, not going to hold my breath until your posts gets deleted.

Can you give me a quote on that from CCP?

Because:
CCP Wrangler “If you live in Europe you pay in Çuro, which is higher because of the VAT tax.”

It’s not CCP, but here is an Aussie complaining about having to use USD to pay for their subscrpition

Since I live in the US I can only see USD prices, but the only currencies that CCP even takes are USD, EUR, GBP, and Yen. (Russian Rubble was removed in 2022)

It’s also not Europe. You troll is so weak.

Yet you claim that EU members can change the currency?

I actually don’t though. All I’m saying is that someone in say Turkey, might only be able to pay in Euros, but aren’t in the EU and therefore might have local taxes. This is why details matter and are needed to help your problem.

So basically you’re using a VPN in an attempt to get a cheaper rate or no taxes…

I see Malak failed so hard, Troll #3 has been called to the scene.

You’re seeing Russian on the store page because that’s where CCP thinks you are located, because you’re using a VPN…

You need to read OP again about the details of that sub error.

Again, the topic here is the Euro prices, not me.

And even if it was me, according to CCP I can’t see Euro prices in Russia.

Continued harrasment is not going to make me give away private security details.

EDIT: Bring proof of your accusations.
