That’s the way they used to work.
Now they are a tool to get people to needlessly upgrade from alpha for a month to boost CCP’s stats for whatever purpose it’s being used for. EVE belongs to the big boys now.
It’s not about the love of the game. It’s not about being told what to do by the null nerds. It’s not about retaining bittervets.
It’s about the money, Lebowski. Maximun ROI. Pandering to a board of directors.

I think the daily prize format is shitty compared to how festive events used to be done. What about those ardent players who just happen to be away for the holidays?! The new format is very Grinchy, and very much more like how commercialized our holidays have become.
Come on CCP - how about injecting some real spirit back into Christmas!)
