Accumulating virtual wealth in any online game has never been an issue for me. My problem is figuring out what to spend my ISK on to make even more ISK faster. In the end, it is all vanity. To paraphrase the wisest king; I became great and surpassed all who were before me… all was vanity and like chasing the wind, there was nothing to be gained.

Money doesn’t really matter. It’s a tool, interchangeable with all other tools according to need.

I think, my issue is that I get bored easily, so I’m jumping from activity to activity and I really don’t set anything up long term that will generate me a constant stream of isk.
I’m not too worried about it tho. It seems that I generate enough ISK in all my little side adventures to keep me stocked with ships that will eventually go boom.
I’ve done the -10 pirate thing. It was a lot of fun. Done the high sec ganking thing. Lots of drama with that. Did the bumping thing. That generated more salt than the ganking and pirating together.
Now I’m kinda thinking either building a little industry, or try out trade.
But I already know the end result. In about 2 weeks, I’ll get bored with it and move on to something else!

Right now I”m at 47B but I know if I spend more time at jJita that can and has reached over a trillion.

Maybe you should increase your monthly tithe to Aiko to 5 bil ISK to stay in line with the expected Safety standards.

Money doesnt matter. True. This is because the ceiling for player potential has been cut down to a non threat with the current war dec / War hq / structure req system that has eliminated competition. I can literally own trillions and its worthless to me.

I don’t know about the “old war dec mechanic” but I have found this line from Starship Troopers to be a universal truth - “Something given has no value.”, Jean Rasczak. I used it on my grandchildren a lot around Christmas. Somehow it never seem to function very well with them, and I end up going broke for gifts.
If they release GR from wherever they are holding her then and only then. Clock is ticking!

I think someone was triggered and worried that CCP might bring back the old war dec mechanic and force them to dig into their pocket books.
-have lots of money if they play, totally. A trillionaire isn’t rich if you have quadrillions. Make more isk and be rich.

Personally, I like to have around 5-10b liquid onhand. Enough that I can pick up the occasional bargain on contracts to flip for profit (buying a capital ship in an out of the way place and moving it to a lowsec system to sell for example).
Currently have around 7b liquid and ~150b in assets.
I’m not “space rich”, I’m “space comfortable”. I have enough to fly what I like and replace my losses easily.
I know a few EVE Trillionaires. I just don’t have the patience for the kind of market games they play.
My main worth is 202b atm, liquid 71b, 12.4k PLEX. And finance 2 acc with in-game source from the begining (it means hundred billions). Invested ~100b to traders, lost 30b by scam. So many things happened. And don’t talk about losses. Everything without real money omegas.^^

I wonder what is the possible max amount for ISK(or asset value) in game? I wonder what/which variable CCP uses considering this:
EDIT: It is possibly a data type that is capable of a minus range, since wallets can go into the red.

A decent frigate costs 250m. Decent cruiser is 600m to 2b. A nice BS is worth 2.5b minimum. Oh and dont forget the clone… idk 5b each now and you need an assortment.
