February 2018 Release - General Feedback

Not sure how wise it was to give highsec the nullsec ores via moons. Why even bother with small scale nullsec mining any more. If you can avoid the wardecs just mine highsec moons, oh wait you can with NPC alts. Guess we’ll just have to see how the market reacts.

So now we need Upwell fighters instead of normal fighters in citadels, I get it, no problem.

But why the **** didn’t you replace the “normal” fighters in the citadel fighter bays or at least in the tubes with equivalent Upwell fighters?

Thanks for a massive instant ISK sink and nerf to citadels. Unless that was in fact your intent.

Just a heads up, you need at least 5000dps or more for the carrier. It has insane shield regeneration.

I just wonder if the Gala sites are harder to find for everybody or if it’s just my bad luck? takes around 30-60min to find one in Null

oh it gets better. Look up the blueprint for those shiny new fighters for citadels. Minerals AND your existing fighters to produce them, and 200 mill for the BPO

Consuming an Accelerator while having the Skill Queue Window open and afterwards re-shifting Skills will result in weird behaviour which leads to no SP being acquired

How do I get rid of the annoying sound every time I jump.

I’ve tried several things in the audio settings.

If I can’t get rid of it can you please change to something less annoying , like a WHOOOOSHHHH.

The Changes to PDS, Scram and Web permitted numbers weren’t trailed at all before the patch - that’s frankly unacceptable with structures of this expense.

Can you please make it optional?

I did that some time ago due to systems like Perimeter making it impossible to find ships, NPC stations, and wrecks while traveling around in my travel-salvage-ceptors and Hecates.

Have a specific tab for citadels now, so this works fine with that.

Just disable the whole neocom blink, it’s always been more trouble than it’s worth. You can still have whatever chat channel tabs blink that you need and you can still have wallet pop-ups and so forth. Mail gives you notifications. etc.

Fitting window hasn’t let you move a DC around for a long time, I think it thinks you’re trying to fit 2 to the ship. Always gotta unfit it and then refit it to a different spot if you wanna move it.

I am getting very bad audio popping issues with this patch, mostly during warping. It will even completely disable my audio for the client when this happens.

Another issue is citadels have colored backgrounds that can’t be disabled. This needs to be fixed.

What they should of done was seed the BPOs at least 2 weeks in advance so that everyone can research and build them before the patch so that they can at least have some defense after this Nerf.

But alas, CCP said f*** you to small corps, so now they have to struggle to cough up the cash or Plex to buy them

The respawn rate of these gala sites seems pretty low. You have to wait 15 - 20 min and then compete with 1-3 other players … It will be very time consuming to get all/most of the loot, especially with all those thieves in blingy T3C.
(No, im not doing them near Jita, i have already moved to a remote area.)
Everyone and their grandma seems to be doing these sites at the moment.

Well, looking at the Agency, I saw mention of the removal of a (useless, admittedly) filter - but still no addition of actually needed filters, such as:

  • Filter by available/unavailable
  • Filter by security level
  • Others I don’t remember, but which other people have raised.

Something else that would be quite helpful (I’d call it “extremely”) would be to make the drop-down selection boxes MUCH longer (hell, make them as long as they can be!) We live in an age of high resolution screens, and yet we have these piddly little drop-downs for long lists, which have us furiously cranking our mouse wheels or screwing around with a narrow (due to high resolution) scroll-bar - come on, CCP! Please analyse the workflow/usage of your interface in order to evaluate it properly, rather than in some conceptual test-tube.

The limits being imposed on the Scrambler and Webifier have been in the dev blog since it first released a little under a month ago, with the scripting changes to the Scrambler being in there since Monday (Quoted below). I’ll admit that the change to the PDS was not included, the fact that it didnt have a limit was a bug that was found during development and was resolved. Apologies for the lack of heads up on that one!

The Standup Focused Warp Disruptor will also be changed to become scriptable, with a longer-range disruptor mode and a shorter-range scrambler mode accessible through a script. Combined with these changes they would also be limited to a maximum of one copy each fitted to a structure.

Guardian Gala’s?

For the amount of time it takes to run and the reward, i do not see a point running these sites in null, good job CCP, perhaps next time you will ask the community, not just the test server community.

That right there certainly seems to be the case.

At least in highsec they are plenty as last event, and can be run faster than the last event (non VIP). Hence the flood of accelerators on the market.
