Federation Grand Prix Time Trials YC124

I’m really interested in that. The best time I could do in theory was about 25-30 minutes. Although I can’t use a proper Home School skip. My 45 time didn’t even use jump- and deathclones and also not the fastest of ships.

I should now be 45-ish on SW without cynos, homeschool skips, or implants. I used my one-time teleport on that one, though.

Yeah I use homeschool skips along with some slightly out of the way manual set deathclones, instead of the ~141 jumps I think i’m shaving it down to 35 jumps total

Unless I have overlooked something, which wouldn’t surprise me, there aren’t any public or NPC stations near dead end and new eden. So, I was using stargates for this part of the route, losing some time being in character with just a few skills (and a really cheap ship).

Next year, I think I will consider setting up freeports to certain key locations.

I’m looking forward to seeing your manual sets. I constantly felt like I am missing something obvious… but could not figure out what.

I used Pochven to get out of Dead End.

WTB final results

I swear if spaghetti code ate my time I’m gonna be mad.

I had it shaved down to 40 jumps…still took me over 30 mins. Part of it was bad execution on my part but beyond the 30 seconds gate to gate we also have to include the 30-45 seconds to warp to a monument (or dock up, deathclone, jumpclone, pod self) in “destination” systems.

Even accounting for all my mistakes, I wouldn’t be much under 30 mins in the 40 jumps (40 seconds average)

Southwest Route

Route: Luminaire - Old Man Star - Odinesyn - Postouvin - Gererique - Molea - Kor-Azor Prime - Amarr - Sarum Prime - Thebeka - Nafomeh - Sagain - Saminer - Turba - Mozzidit - New Eden - Dead End - Carirgnottin - Luminaire - DOTLAN :: EveMaps

you get the advantage of longer jump skips than I do as I dont use JFs, only blops portals

I’ll post mine tonight, ill bet if we combine my route with some JFs you can get it even lower

I actually flipped to Blops jumps after the SW route - in theory 10LY is great … but the added hassle of having to jump to a station, swap ships, and warp to an outgate negates a lot of the benefit of bigger range. With a pacifier and brick tanked tengu you can bridge 8LY right to an outgate and be just as fast in practice (assuming an extra jump or two to get closer from 10 to 8ly is possible)

It still makes sense to do a JF in some cases (single desto way out of the way)

For the historic route I used blockade runners to keep the jump fatigue down and bridged repeatedly from Algogille as it was in range of EVERYTHING.

It’s gonna take a while, probably till tomorrow. Patience.

You got a secret you want to share with the class  ?

New to the race. Hoping to have made it in the top 10 with a gate-to-gate approach in a ship warping 34.75AU/s.

No, but I know the game I’m playing.

If you warped to every gate without any skips… its going to be tough because it’s about 25-30 seconds gate to gate due to accel + decel + align time + gate activation delay + system loading time / jump tunnel… and additional time for each visit in a “destination” system

~90 Jumps turns into 45 minutes minimum for the NE route - and if you look at the laptimes already on the board … they are far more competitive than that.

Ran only the SW route “competitively” and it according to my stopwatch I am between 60 and 70mn… still hoping

As promised, my 35 jump route for SW
