Not sure where to post but is there any information about what actually happens when either are selected? seems a pointless exercise.
They become the new president of the Gallente Federation, setting the theme for its domestic and foreign policies over the coming five years.
In game terms, it may affect the theme of some events and Scope articles. Like Roden winning may lead to FW-flavoured events, or Moreau winning will likely lead to rogue drone-flavoured events.

CCP knows, but just like we don’t know what the other factions want for their military campaigns next expansion, we don’t get to know for the Presidential candidates. The president will try and follow through with their campaign platforms though. So vote for Alix for Science! and a free Intaki! Roden if you want more wars, and Lucas for diplomacy, peace, and boringness.
And vote Anna Dyneaux if you want to actually make things better.

Does anybody know if the points gained from the event track still count towards a candidate score when a character is biomassed before the event is over?

Well, if a character is bio-massed, I’m pretty sure everything else belonging to that character is also bio-massed, including their Agency Event Points…
That doesn’t mean they don’t count towards the election results. It’s just a question of when does CCP count the points – at the moment when the points are awarded to the character, or once the event is finished polling all existing characters and adding up their score then.
I’m thinking it’s done when the event is finished…
