Just had this issue today. May not help anyone else, but I thought I’d post my run through in case.
Game was hanging with a similar error code in the loglite, but I have a GTX 970 card and 2 monitors. Turned out my video card drivers had either been corrupted or partially uninstalled somehow. (I’m not sure how that makes sense/is possible, just bear with me)
After running a uninstall/reinstall of the current drivers for NVIDIA, version 397.31, I was finally able to bypass the launcher hanging with a blank screen on screen 1. This is the same driver I installed when it released back in April.
If I discover what messed with the driver in the first place, I’ll edit this post.
