The Miniluv document suggests a 25min hardcap.
I take that with a teaspoon of salt, as about +5mins worth of vested interest in giving themselves and others a bit more margin, and that’s fine. Its to be expected.
As others have pointed out, “perma-bumping” is the primary issue, with the effect on ganking (especially suicide ganking) being a mitigating secondary concern.
I’m ready to accept the Miniluv suggestion of 25mins.
It achieves the primary goal on restricting perma-bumping.
It achieves the secondary goal of mitigating that duration to where gank operations are still feasible/manageable.

I was talking to someone who’s corp-mate got bumped for 5 hrs… there’s a problem with bumping if you can bump someone for 5 hrs … Let alone - I guess a ganker could set ‘approach’ to a ship and auto-bump to keep it going for 5 hrs…

Salty AG … CODE missed a gank on my Orca - they were so strange in their behaviour - talk about salty because I wasn’t intimidated by their childish antics and escaped. If they’d killed me. all fair and good GF. But they didn’t and couldn’t accept it. Sad.
It is a shame.
What a waste of time for both parties involved.
If you can AFK bump as a Bot-Aspirant Ganker - why wouldn’t they bot their CODE?

If you cant organize to aggress a bumped target within 25mins, well, that’s your own failure.
you cant talk to pilots if you’re afk. thats a big deal

Nothing prevents you from chatting to players while a bot script is running the rest of your ship/s operation.
Furthermore, nothing prevents a bot script chatting with them either.
(But both are illegal)

You can bump for 5 hrs at the keyboard - that’s commitment - although I think it’s a busted mechanic, it’s a warp-scram with no module - 5 hrs is dedication!
