There is also eve university. I think they do some null or lo stuff as well.
Thank you very much for your help, Brisc. You’re awesome.
Same to you, @Geo_Eclipse_Oksaras
We dont do pvp but if we hit a hiring phase, and no requirement to join our corp, we run missions for isk raising standings for others
That’s a great way to foster amity with other players/corporations. That is very cool, although I couldn’t do it long term without diversifying.
I would like to find a Lowsec/Nullsec corporation that’s into PvP ( even ganking ) without Faction Warfare ( I am developing a separate Alt for that ), and also into some mining/P.I/Industry and maybe Abyss… Only a lot of corporations I’ve looked up want long-time players so I’m either stuck with a noob corp that mines all day long or take my chances solo until I have 20M - 30M SP.
It seems that a lot of Capsuleers are developing a alt pilot to do stuff these days it seems!
We have three slots in the account. Might as well make good use of them
Seriously I have zero qualms on who is doing what, I have zero interest in knowing as I treat each pilot as a different entity in space.
/a different identity
I don’t multibox so yes, each of my characters are/will be ( only have two now ) a seperare different entity doing seperate different things.
It’s pretty basic: One PvP/Exploration, one Scout/spy and one Industrialist/Miner.
To this day I am still developing this character and even allowing others to set my path.
I don’t do the same with other pilots under my command.
That is why I asked the above about alts.
/eg;
October I believe that I am to start some sort of training set out for me by @Aiko_Danuja
I.dont.even.want.to.know
I don’t even know what is lined up and what it is for even. Something about a new path I guess. Aiko can fill in the rest.
Wasn’t it about Insolence or something?
She’s going to turn you into one of her flying monkeys
No!
Other than this part of the forum is not the place to discuss such.
Let’s not derail a good thread about this.
I want to show respect to the forum location rules thank you
I entirely disagree with every sentiment expressed in this comment.
I think you’re right about making known HS gankers more visible and more avoidable to other players. But that would only make it more the fault of the gankie for being ganked.
There is a difference between gankers and griefers. Although they both want to blow you up and take your stuff every opportunity they get, the difference is with gankers, their intention is to have fun playing the game. griefers, their intention is to make you as miserable as possible, but it’s far less nuanced than that.
It is my opinion that all griefers should be banned from the game for the sake of the mental health of the player base.
However, blaming gankers for being ganked is like waking into a tree, getting a bloody nose, and then blaming the tree. Blaming CCP is like blaming God for putting the tree there in the first place. There is almost always precautions you could’ve taken to avoid being ganked. And the times where you couldn’t have done anything about it, sigh it just is what it is. My condolences.
The point is, in New Eden it doesn’t matter if you’re in HS, LS, Null, WH, or Pochvin space, if you undock, you are stepping into a hostile and competitive environment. I for one, am here for it.
I’ll have it be known that I have never ganked anyone by eve traditional standards, I have been ganked multiple times on stations and gates.
EVE isn’t “a better place” regardless and hopefully will never be. And better than what anyway?
New Eden is dangerous for everybody or “don’t fly what you can’t afford to lose” wouldn’t be a thing. I wouldn’t consider a town safe or “better” if my neighbors told me “don’t drive what you can’t afford to get stolen”.
Scammers, pirates, opportunists of all sorts, exploiters, thieves, spies… “a better place” isn’t what jumps into mind regarding EVE. It’s a cold dystopian world without heart or soul.
It’s space and in space no one can hear you scream. And scream you shall
That’s a bit of paranoia
Gankers are the heart and soul of this game.
Obviously you’re not learning from your mistakes. Here’s a great resource to help you avoid gate camps
Don’t forget the builders who manufacturer their ammo and ships.
Also, the builder’s manufacturer the stuff the gankers eventually kill and loot off the freighters.
Also, the builders are usually the ganker targets.
The EVE ecosystem is really cool!
