Ganking has gone too far

The only reason ORE ships seem to have paper thin hulls is because you choose to fly them that way. A tanked Procurer or Skiff has equivalent EHP to a battleship. If you choose max yield over max tank, then you must accept the consequences of that choice. It’s that simple…

Indeed, a response time of <30 seconds is absolutely phenomenal when compared to the real police.

Much like in real life, the police aren’t there to save or protect you, they are there to clean up the mess after you’ve been shanked…

Meanwhile in Nullsec/Wormholes Rorquals have been given the equivalent of “infinite hit point modules” that basically don’t allow you to be killed for a fixed amount of time.

Wow that’s some balance right CCP you give all the eggs to one side and totally ■■■■ on the other.

Hey I wonder why Null players are laughing…LOL… and you listened to them like IDIOTS lol worhless CSM.

Here let me tell you some reality for free CCP. They are going to say whatever gives them an advantage at the end of the day. BTW hows that working for EvE?

I can guarantee the stuff that really brought players in like Alpha Clones wasn’t ever part of CSM.

In real life if you commit crimes you are put on a list that doesn’t allow you free travel. If you are caught “free traveling” you are put back in prison.

Please take this to the real life and I will happily go there.

What I don’t get is the persistent whining about the “crime” rate in hisec when any major town or city in the world probably has a higher one.

Crime is a legitimate occupation in the Eve universe, people who do it have accepted the associated risks and losses, factoring them into their business model.

Much as suicide gankers like to crow about their success, they have very little impact on overall cargo movement, and none at all on those players that are more than halfway conversant with the relevant game mechanics. Their efforts amount to no more than a teardrop in an ocean of commerce.

If people act like low hanging fruit through poor choices, then gankers are going to harvest them.

Don’t be low hanging fruit and they’ll generally leave you alone; unless of course you’ve made yourself a target via other avenues, like the forums.

Additionally, the real police don’t come unless you call them. They don’t have a magical crystal ball informing them of all crime taking place like CONCORD appear to have…

Hisec battles made sense in the early days of EVE when there was only a hisec. Now that the low and null sectors have developed, it simply makes no sense to allow hisec attacks.

It’s content so it make sense, wether you like it or not.

Its the future, response times have improved.

Besides if you actually used cameras like they have in the UK and a adequate software program with appropriate allowing laws, then yes you already could have crime automatically reported.
The world just doesn’t want to go the next step because dumb and dumber citizen will finally realize how spied on they really are.

So you’re happy with using a police state?

Because the UK has the highest levels of civil surveillance in the world, even higher than Russia, and yet their crime rates in the cities are still incredibly high.

You act like you get some choice in the matter.

I do. If I’m in the country, I have the option to leave. Just like I have the option to not play EVE if law enforcement is too severe and restricts PVP too much.

Camera technology has become too good. Software programs have become too refined. Technology like phone sniffers can literally and are literally put all over.

You can try by going and living in the middle of nowhere to avoid what is happening but it wont change its happening and is clearly going in one direction.

It really doesn’t take much in the way of cognitive faculties to figure out how to protect yourself from digital monitoring. For example, I don’t even use a smart phone. No need for it.

People may not have liked living in Nazi Germany, but they had some of the lowest crime rates in history so ive been told.

So you forget completely the fact that even with all its surveillance, the UK still has extremely high crime rates, and follow up with a non-point about how living in a dictatorship will protect you from crime. Okay, you go and do that then. I’ll stick to having my freedom. o7

How can you not think the future technology wont just automatically report crime if it can?

Norton automatically reports back when I get a virus or something It don’t like.
Windows 10 reports back about how you are using it.

You really think technology is going to give you more freedom and not less? Be realistic.

Norton is invasive and not even all that effective. And I’m not claiming to know how future tech will work. I’m pointing out that the number of people who value freedom far outweighs those that would give it up for the sake of ‘safety’. 1984 wasn’t a user manual, and regardless of how advanced technology becomes, people won’t, and already don’t, stand for invasive surveillance practices. And there will always be someone circumventing that technology as well. Always.

I don’t know what country where all that freedom is but it certainly is not in a nuclear nation I will just leave that there.
