Something nice I hope, I am going to have Dorade St Sebaste tonight, I think it is Sea Bream in English, but not sure.

Yeah, my gf can’t eat fructose and since we know that I make almost everything from scratch because of all the crap they put into those products you get from the stores. And it’s also a lot tastier . Dorade St Sebaste sounds delicious too, but never had one.

There are different Dorade types, I was trying to work out what Sea Bream type it was in English, but any Dorade is nice, it is a pain with small bones, but they are not really an issue if you are happy masticating them. Many people cook the fish whole, just gutted, and just do simple things in terms of sauces or herbs, or even just lemon. It is not difficult to cook, but delicious.

I must admit I’m spoilt when it comes to fish, one of the joys of living within 500 yards of the sea is that you can get it fresh off the boat; also decent fish ‘n’ chip shops abound.

The “small bone” ones are Common Pandora (Pagellus erythrinus) a fish of the Sparidae(sea bream) family sometime sold as “red sea breams” (that’s OKish) or “Dorade/Daurade/Orata” (that’s a bit missleading)
What made the “real” Dorade such a popular fish is the great taste, firm flesh and lack of small bones. Only the “Gilt-Head Sea Breams” (Sparus Aurata), sometimes called Golden Sea Breams, should be sold as Dorade/Daurade/Orata. If there is no gold bar marking between the eyes it is probably not a Dorade and there should be only few thick bones with big distances:

It’s worse, even most vegetables contain fructose. But it may be temporary no one knows.
And if you Start to look closer into that stuff you start to see that all the “experts” don’t know either what the actual problem is. At least I got the impression that most medicine today is still one inch away from voodoo and they are more or less guessing their way trough.

I am sorry to hear that and I hope it is temporary. I assume she can take vitamin supplements, but it does downgrade her enjoyment of life a bit and I hope they caught it before any damage was caused to her liver cells. All the best to you both.

This topic has been discussed to death over the years. It is not our problem if you think your opinion is somehow new and worthy of addressing but actually never confronted it with all the arguments that challenge your position that have been discussed thousand of times on this forums.
