If one player plans everything out before they make a move, and the other player is a mindless simpleton, the result is not a ‘good fight’ but it is a ‘fair fight’.

Yep. It’s not like miners don’t have time to come up with a strategy while they’re just sitting there shooting rocks! They have all the time in the world to figure out how to not be a victim.
There’s a lot of counterplay, but waiting until the fight is over and saying “I can’t do anything!” is just whining.
The best counterplay begins before you undock.
This is why I asked you to show me how to gank. Feeling for the underdog is one thing, but feeling sorry for a permanent victim isn’t something I can do. If a player won’t even try, why should I do anything but help put them out of their misery?
Ganking is a lot of fun, I do it everyday!
These idiots think that low and null sec fights are fair.
at its essence…
EvE is a war game, that inflicts emotional damage on players…
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A FAIR FIGHT
If you ever find a fair fight in Eve, it means your opponent didn’t properly prepare.
Fair fights sound boring.
My very first action in this char was to kill some poor unsuspecting year old player in Kubinen in lowsec. Gnosis vs Heron. Solo. Alpha shot. I could just as easily have myself been killed by the locals there who have 30,000 solo kills. That is how EVE works.
The ‘fairness’ in EVE is not in individual kills but in how all kills and losses build up experience. Every action is, or ought to be, a lesson. But there are those who refuse to learn the lessons…and they come on here and rant instead.
“normal pvp”… are you only about duels? Otherwise PVP here is game of those who have more information to make a correct decision - initiate or leave… The same about ganks… force others to attack you, or force them to avoid as this will be a waste for them and not a big deal for you. The same PvP… no difference as both sides make a decision to take that action or not.
If somebody doesn’t prepare for a fight in advance, it shouldn’t be a surprise when they have ‘no counterplay’ - the battle is won or lost before it begins.
I guess your lot is fine with killing non-combatants during wartime.
In this game, I’m fine with doing it during peacetime too.
This is done all the time in war, and is not against international rules of war. Logistic supply routes/convoys are attacked all the time.
I deliberately target miners BECAUSE they are non-combatants.
no such thing in EvE
or do you not understand player vs player?
My favorite thing about this post is that it accurately describes how police work.
That aside, I really need everyone to dial in and appreciate the hilarity here. This is some of the funniest ■■■■ I’ve ever seen and everyone is just ignoring it. I know, I know, it’s AI slop, but this is the sort of meta-humor where that doesn’t matter.
The left part of the image should be like the right one, but without Police which will blow up the player A. That is how roamings looks like. You have intel and scouts and then you decide, will that fight lead to the win or loss (also how to catch the other fleet to use potential of your format vs their…). So everything is planned ahead (as Gank)… if not, then you are victim.
With solo the same… no one engage if they are not sure that they can win. So it is also calculated ahead of the fight. So victim can only try to escape or die.
