Ganking is the only consistent and "fair" content

Do what now?

Only read the headling because the resoning will be false anyway. There is nothing fair about ganking. Most of the times there is nothing you can avoid the gank. If in fact ganking is to easily done. Repercussions should be harsher.

i fixed it for you !

thats in 100 % of a.ll ganks the wrong answer xD you always can avoid ganks … but the lazy “victims” dont see which mistakes they are doing !

avoid ganking is way easier then ganking by itself xD and did you know what you need to do before you can gank a target ? → no you dont otherwise you wouldnt say its to easy !

youre right … repercussions of being a lazy “victim” should be a lot harsher …

You could always try not fitting shield and armor tank on the same ship…as with your Occator loss.

Dude i got ganked and have ganked my fair share. Somethimes it can be pilots fault not paying attention but most of the time ganks are just not avoidable. This is exactly why peopel hate them

You relly have no clue how to fit an occator right? You try to max ehp. The fault you could have spotted would have been fitting inertia stabs instead of more tank but you seem to be a noob not really knowing the fitting game

This is doubtfull due to

unless you were ganking noobies

Wrong.

  1. Pay attention to local
  2. ping d-scan every 3 seconds. If you see an army of cats show up. Time to warp off.

Don’t project your inability to play this game onto the rest of the population.

Ganks are 100% avoidable.

its 100% players fault and you can 100% avoid any gank xD how ? maybe you read some ganking / antiganking threads to find out how easy it is to avoided being ganked !
you want an example … fine :
if youre fit wasnt ■■■■ you occator could have load another 2-3 b of cargo and you were completly uninteresting for gankers … but you decide to fits such shitty stuff and got ganked and lost 1,7b !
Occator | madefortradeII | Killmail | zKillboard

no ppl hate them because they show the lazyness you have to play this game ! its so easy to avoid games … and if the gank is happen then all the mistakes ( or just some of them ) were executet before and the result of your lazyness is the loss of your ship by gankers !

you neither xD

i could tell you why inertias are the worste option for an deep space transporter :stuck_out_tongue: but i didnt tell you ! i only say 50mn MWD !

Which was precisely my point. You didn’t. Your Occator was 52K EHP. I knocked up one with 78K EHP ( without any shield tank ) in a couple of minutes. Your shield amplifiers only add another 2K or so of EHP…as you are only actually defending 3000 hp of shield with them.

Happy to give people lessons in how to fit ships

Not only that but the 50mn microwarp drive increases the signature radius from 183m to 1085m…making it more likely to get ganked…and it is using up precisely the power required to power the armor plating in my fitting above.

Not using a gnosis ?

I fly whatever you can’t catch me in

I fly Eagle, Zealot, and others too, but the Gnosis makes a lot of sense. It can deliver 920 DPS, and has enough EHP that you’d need at least 3 Catalysts to gank it…which would be half its cost anyway, and given that the loot fairy only drops 50%, well…what profit is there in that ? And I don’t mind transporting 1bn worth of stuff in small loads…which is why I’m in the top 1% of stargates jumped.

signature doesnt care ! tank is what you need ! and you have enough pwg

armor plates on a ship wich need about 20s to align ? and you add more mass that you have more time to align ? oO thats not a good fit !
active hardener … if the nado hits you you dont have time to activate hardeners xD activ hardener are always a stupid idea to tank such ships they need INSTANT tank !

you always want as much tank as you can get :stuck_out_tongue: so fit max bulkheads on an occator ! about 100k EHP and nobody ganks you ! then you can add the 50mn and you have 10s aligntime and you dont need to fit an inertia wich killes your tank xD

Is it not obvious why you don’t get ganked?

All you are doing with transverse bulkheads is swapping the hp that the armor pump would otherwise give from the armor to the hull. You surely want your high resistances to be where your highest hp is.

but you are not able to activate your resistance … if you got alpha´d by nados then youre instantly dead ! and your resistance are useful as a refrigerator in sibiria

Sure. Its so obvious…yet hundreds of Eve players don’t do it. I mean, I can understand why with those carrying massive m3 of stuff…but often those very ships also carry lots of low m3 stuff that would ALL fit inside a Gnosis. I only deal in the low m3 stuff.

Why not ? When I undock from Jita its instant hit ‘d’ to jump to whatever stargate is already at the top of the list…and then immediately activate hardeners, and I always have stuff on overheat. Done it so many times I can do the whole lot in seconds.

On that Occator, swapping the armor pumps for bulkheads and swapping the armor hardeners for bulkheads also adds another 2 seconds to align time…and reduces the EHP from 78K to 69K

People forget that resistance is resistance on whatever the hp is. You want your highest resist to be on wherever your highest hp is. Getting back to the original issue of not mixing types of tank…it is precisely why you fit for one type.
