Ganking makes Eve a better place

Why are repeat gankers not labeled as terrorists and anyone given free reign to KOS? (or insert better mechanic) Or at least labeled as terrorists by the factions controlling the space in which they are doing the ganking.

Surely concord or the factions would not let someone who commits terrorism again and again right after stepping into a new clone protections?

Literal 0 sense.

If I was on the Dev Team I would probably adjust it to be more the ability of class of ship.

for example:

A freighter getting ganked: anything below a battle cruiser ganking there is a cap of number ships hitting target, ie say you have 20 catalyst only 15 are doing damage 5 are shooting blanks

A iteron V getting ganked say you have 20 catalyst only 1 is hitting 19 shooting blanks

on top of that not alpha can gank but they still can pvp, same as any new character under 10 million skill points can’t gank but still can pvp.

I haven’t played for years, and I don’t like gankers (except Aiko), but I can still tell this is a ā– ā– ā– ā–  idea.

well it increase the value of isk on the table for the ganker for that sweet reward of loot

also it solves the problem of turn and burn alt’s

Oh okay. Samuel Coleridge. I’m more a fan of Rumi’s poems.

Nope LOL. Peeps just need to understand what game they are playing.

They are, depending on sec status. Makes perfect sense. You just don’t understand the lore or the game

Its good you aren’t

some ppl just don’t understand. it is ok

Ganking brings enlightenment as a wise ganker once said.

Thanks for the Coleridge reminder, Captain!

I remember reading Rumi’s Mathnawi when I was a young man. The first couplet staggered me. What a heady infusion!

You must be new to EvE.

High sec gankers have a -10 security status, which means that anyone can shoot at them, at any time. The problem is, high sec care bears are afraid of shooting at other players.

Aaaaand, unlawful transgressions against other players result in the addition of a killright. The problem is, high sec care bears won’t bother themselves with learning how to set that kill right to ā€œpublicā€ and they are greedy little bears. On the off chance that they do figure this out they set the kill right to 100 zillion kajillion isk. No one is going to pay that to activate it. Especially when the trangressor is already at -10 and free to shoot.

On the topic of calling them terrorist. You see there is this standings mechanism in the game. Set known gankers to ā€œbad standing.ā€ Also known as ā€œredā€ so you know when they are around. As for activity calling them terrorists, well, that’s what these forums are for.

I’m glad I was able to help you.

I enjoy anything I can get my hands on from that Sufi mystic. His writings open up another dimension in my mind, a sunny place where I can sit in peace and get centered… truly beautiful poetry and unequaled poet.

I think people might be more willing to listen to you if you had even a vague idea of how these mechanics, and the game, worked.

nowadays i just dont fly anything above T1 destroyer with T2 mods at best, ganking problem solved.
The game is starting to bet boring really fast to…

In other words you fail at EVE, incapable of working anything out.

That’s really sad. Maybe you should join a group of content creators, and make things interesting for others and yourself.

Might I suggest SAFTEY.?

Instead of going full risk-avoidance mode, could it be nice to try something else if you’re getting bored?

What if you would try to intentionally get ganked? Fly a hauler, consider it lost already, but secretly put a lot of tank on it and see if anyone attempts to gank it?

Could be fun if they try and fail.

You read my mind, Gerard. I was thinking about that yesterday. Thought I’d pay a little visit to 0.1 or null in a Catalyst and see what kind of trouble I could get into. Didn’t have time for that yesterday but today… hehe…
