Genolution 'Auroral' AU-79 (Golden pod)

Would anyone know if self-destructing removes the Genolution ‘Auroral’ AU-79 implant (i.e. is it considered a “manual removal”) or affect the killboard? The notification (2-minute timer in space) says I’d lose a pricey implant if I self destruct. I’ve never self destructed before… So… Yeah. Thanks in advance for any intel!

All your implants will be destroyed.
I don’t think it affects killboard.

Afaik, it will be on the killmail unless you remove it and either way implants are a one-way thing until destroyed. Remove it or lose the clone, both destroy all imps.
Save you guys some clicks… copied from Reddit.

CCP has re-released the AU-79 implant as part of a $70 Genolution skin-and-wearables set.

As long-time capsuleers will recall, the AU-79 implant originally came with the Second Decade collector’s edition box. Which has meant that unused implants have become increasingly rare (and expensive) over the last decade.

This marks the first time CCP has offered it outside of that set - and thus the first time new copies have been available in a decade.

If CCP wouldnt actively destroy their own game… id buy it also. Im on a no-visa strike.

I got mine from the 10th anniversary. And CCPs verbage is “Manually removing” and also “unplug” (which is specific to right-clicking and selecting “Unplug”), but CCP likes to play ambiguous phrasing games… So I’m nervous to test if manually choosing to self-destruct counts as manually removing. Lol

Sucked it up, tested it. Did the self-destruct in a station and the implant was present in the new clone at the home station.
