Goodbye EVE?

OK, enough with the alt fanboy circus, either post on topic or don’t post at all.

Everyone posts with alts here, facko. If you haven’t figured that one out yet then EVE isn’t for you.
BTW, how many alts do YOU have?? Probly too many to count

Hey kid, I’ve been a member of this community long before you were born.

FYI, I only post with my main so take your drivel back to reddit.

I’m not even on reddit, never were, so try again, Carebear.

Not only that but CCP allows us to have as many accounts as we wish, you cannot expect that not to bleed into the forum and if you do it’s your problem, jacouille. Go whine to someone who gives a sh!t.

Heh, aren’t you a tough one…

The more you post the more everybody knows you’re just a pubie alt trying to give cred to your main.

Quantity doesnt mean quality tho.

No but it gives people more to hide behind

I think it shows more about them.

Exactly right. But it does give me a good laugh. This section of the forum is too hilarious to ignore and Lord knows I need it.

I quit paying attention to the opinions of people like you in my teens so good luck making me feel anything but total and utter indifference for yours.

Well, it’s been fun, guys, but I have a game to play.

See you next time I need a good laugh

Offline disinhibition effect?

The Rejection Thing (toxic community) - argument
As any stranger to a strange game you walked into a bar looking for trouble and instead of finding it (and there is where EVE becomes so enjoyable) you found something else instead. You found boredom. You describe it as a toxic community but you can just as well call it rejection.

Ask yourself the question. What is it that I can offer to anyone in this game and if your answer is something like “a statistic mostly” you would be right. The challenge becomes for you (being a total nobody noob player) to become something else instead. What will you become?

A couple of tips for @Trona_Kata or any other new player:

  • Don’t be on the forums
These are not the capsuleers you are looking for. They are all about discussion, promotion & sales, simply ask yourself: is forum interaction possible from within the client? No? Then you are probably busy with commentary or discourse on a game you are not playing. None of these capsuleers need to be logged into the client, on comms, in a fleet or part of a corporation and or alliance to be active on the forums.

  • Don’t train SP or join a corporation within 2 weeks
These are not the SP or corporations you are looking for. You are new to a game so give yourself at least 2 weeks to just explore New Eden from within your NPC corp and just be a new player about it. Be as a child and wonder about things. Get curious, get brave (meaning stupid) about things. Try things out. Ask in local, shoot something, travel about. After 2 weeks you’ll know if you feel that this universe is so enjoyable to log into what you would like to train towards (SP) and with whom (corporation).

  • Stay Alpha until you feel the binding resolution of the Force
Many new players want insta gratification gameplay, join a corporation, start skill training the doctrine and unlock “gameplay” (pay to play) by becoming Omega. I would advice for you to try out the game vigorously with the (free to play) Alpha experience until you feel confident enough this game will have you investing in the long term because being Omega takes commitment (meaning time, money and effort). Does the game deliver on the great expectations you had from it? I think it will take you at least 9 and a half weeks to fall in love with EVE ONLINE forever.

Good luck and fly unsafe

Correction: some people post with alts here. Others, like myself, feel confident enough to post whatever they think with their main character.

Of course hiding your main’s identity and posting with alts is a large part of EVE, just like ingame. Just don’t generalise and think everyone does it.

And you want a medal for that?

I guess you know them ALL to make such a statement.
Allow me to say that you’re full of it.
The only ones you know for sure are your innumerable alt.
