Because the issue is being unscrupulously used as a weapon, with bells and whistles attached. I mean, look at the way you yourself just cast aspersion on all ‘miners and antigankers’. So what’s really going on has nothing to do with threats…and everything to do with the issue being USED to attack ‘miners and antigankers’. I see what is really going on…how utterly devious it is.
It does seem like you could shrug it off as just the breaks in a game.
I understand PVE folks would be possed about the time investment being exploded, but the servers themselves will one day get shut down.
I had a quite frankly priceless lightsaber crystal sitting on a table in SWG until the day the servers went off. Never used. Worth a fortune.
Oh well. It’s a game. I liked having it.

I don’t really think so. Gix is simply asking if even one antiganker will have the decency to stand up and denounce some of the more inappropriate things that have been said by antigankers, and the people they fleet with and defend. For some reason, you have allowed yourself to be the most vocal respondent to Gix, but you aren’t even really relevant to the discussion - I believe there are others whom Gix is more specifically wanting to respond, and I think he is completely justified in asking them whether (after a decade of crying about ganker griefers) whether they are opposed to antiganker griefers.
Gix is basically condemning McCarthyism, and in the spirit of Joseph Welch, he is asking the antigankers, “At long last, have you no decency at all”.
Remember, the people who have actually been vilified and persecuted here. It is the gankers, not the miners, who are victimized by all this abuse. Is there not one antiganker who will stand up and acknowledge a SINGLE instance of antiganker or miner abuse.

I have not seen any distinction drawn on this thread…neither by Gix or you or anyone else.
If specific miners, antigankers, or anyone else engages in bad behaviour then the issue should be taken up with those specific people. But instead all I see here is a wide net cast.

It is devious, but that avenue of attack is shut down more easily than it takes a ganker to type inflammatory stuff in the first place.

And once you grok that it’s that simple to stop, surely you see how silly it is to give in to that rage. Which makes makes other aspect, the threats and rage seem childish at best, and insane at worst.
The ganker can set you back against your will. They cannot talk to you without it.

Of course there are instances, and they are bad…but you don’t like gankers being held up as a single group, especially those who don’t comply with your ganker code of conduct, so why on earth should you expect ‘antigankers’ to collectively condemn behaviour most are not involved in.
Personally I have a policy of never saying anything at all when ganked, not even a ‘gf’, or indeed when involved in AG. So I am never going to get caught up in any of that anyway. Which is why I resent ‘antigankers’ being labelled all in one group.
Well, for one thing, the antiganking community is about a dozen people who sit in a channel and cry together, and they generally are in one system (UEDAMA) - so they are kind of a group, with some kind of collective responsibility.
I didn’t see the word “All” in aikos post. That’s something you have added and it changes what was said significantly.
I’ve yet to see any of them there. Lately there are more gankers in Dodixie ( even MacGybo has gone there ) and that’s where I have started doing AG…though not as Cilla. Ironically I actually got turned down by Githany’s group…though that was entirely because I dont want to use Discord. So I actually was rejected by that crowd at Uedama.
I think perhaps what is most annoying and yet funny, is you can’t even get the insult right

I find such statements somewhat bizarre. Of course there is psychology…not least because ganker ‘PvP’ is not exactly a one-on-one equivalence of roles. If you choose to play the ‘lion’, and deem someone else to be the ‘wildebeast’, expect lots of psychology. For example, however difficult it may be technically to gank…I can’t imagine it being psychologically difficult at all. I suspect being top of the food chain is psychologically great fun. You can go round robbing people and have a great laugh.
Of course the victims are not going to see it all quite the same way. Being ganked is not some fun, exciting, activity…even if the cat and mouse of avoiding ganks is ( and personally I love it ). Of course there are going to be a lot of people who don’t share in your fun and excitement, and you’re not going to get people proclaiming ’ oh..look…I got robbed…how exciting !’
The point being that it is psychologically easy for you gankers. So its small wonder all the resentment comes from one side.
