Group/Multiplayer Null sec PvE idea

So null sec in ament to be players working together in an alliance yet every aspect of null sec living is a solo experience, so much more opportunities lay completely uninvestigated. this equinox was ament to fix null, but has not…

my suggest, after running a recent vanguard incursion fleet i wondered why these new pve ihub upgrades dont off null sec alliance some kinda small group pve activity.
if done right so not to be abused a simple vanguard like upgrade to the ihubs would give null sec communities atleast something, as it is vanguard are not worth much more than solo hub ratting.
so i see no issue with this being a good idea. some kinda group pve would be nice, low entry and still good pay out.

other idea’s for upgrades :
mining: change the mining update so that there is plenty of ore, or have it so the mining escalation are worth sticking a rorq on. perhaps make mining less Region based, as this has no effect on the game. just makes more logistic and ballache to play the game, then again a rorq is hardly worth its cost, a hulk mine as much and unless ur mining ice its just pointless over a hulk.

please for the love of god. more entry level content in null. and make us actually play together. rather than the only Multiplayer aspect of this MMO being PVP

having said that the pvp is awesome and fun, the game has never felt more alive. but i feel its going to be short lived if ccp dont act and create content to keep comunities together, i personally tried doing multiplayer DED farming and escalation but it fell short of solo ishta ratting.

personally i love this game and i play it probably more than most. the new systems hub upgrade seems to boost the chances of escalations as i found 4 in the space of 2 1/2 hours. normaly get 1 per hour ish. but as i said there just not very profitable in a 4man setting and i do 6/10 up to 9/10, as 10/10 are abit to spice for ishta’s and not every one can afford a shiny battleship. having said the the myrm and its mjd really does excel but with out a nestor there pretty toast.

so back to the plee,. please ccp, make its more comunity content to keep us playing together this wonderful space MMO ! personally i think the vanguard incursion idea is a solid,. we have never had local consistant group pve. please keep it newb friendly and generate isk and LP (perhaps it can be focused on Local NPC LP) balancing it shouldnt be to hard considering how ballanced incurssion are, and you really never did anything with them.

i dont wana feel forced into crab beacons to do group pve content, and waiting for the next incursion is a joke. yes i understand there are “abysal filaments” but that only limited to 3 players and frigates. give us null sec alliance something fun to do other than spining rocks and more rocks…

rant over. xD

another sugestion. a new combat site, that scales with the amount of ships that enter the aceleration gate, probably be a challenge to get right. but its another option
could be affected by diferent levels, allowing for lower SP pilots to aslo get into the action. again id have no idea how this could even be ballanced to work or possible

im just fed up playing alone, when i first started many many years ago. i use to do group lvl 4 missions, and it was super fun, till it wasnt a challenge. and it annoys me that eve considers its self an mmo because the only part of the game that feels even remotely multiplayer is the pvp.
curious on other people opinions on how null sec pve can be more group inclusive, as ive alway tried to find away to do group pve and make it worth doing

Every activity in EvE that is multiboxed is done so for one, and only one, simple fact. All but a handful of activities in EvE are already designed to be run as a group. The game simply doesn’t care if the group is one player running multiple accounts or if it’s actually multiple people. No amount of coded enforcement will make people play together any more than they already do.

You want more group activities, you need to take it upon yourself to organize something. This is generally why most people start corps in EvE and then go on to join Alliances. If your corp isn’t doing corp PvE ops after you try to organize them, then you should maybe look into joining a group that has the activity you want.

name 3 pve “npc shooting pewpew” corp/group activities in null sec that can be run as entry level group. that would provide the same income as 1 charter per forsaken hub with a myrmidon
“null sec community content”? i cant think of anything bar the ocational incursion’s
cap pilots have crab becons (duo or trio)
cant really count abysil filaments coz thats any where content (also limited to 3)
i tried running DED escalatiions with people and the money was less than ishta spining.
so the game in null is pretty solo. unless you cheese with thunderchild as a group.
and i got plenty of people to run and scan down combat sites but its more efficent to spin rocks thats the game.

I fondly remember doing a certain PvE site with a group of my alliance almost every day after downtime. A potential drop worth billions, done by 5-15 ships for ‘PvE NPC shooting pewpew content’ every day.

Another example is those Stormbringer fleets that rush havens. I see 8 ships doing the same thing, surely if a few people have fewer accounts (like myself) you could work together with some buddies to do the same thing.

Abyssal filaments are indeed available everywhere, but you can do it in null sec too if you wish to do group PvE.

Mining is generally done as group activity and also can involve shooting the NPCs that bother you.

I fondly remember doing a certain PvE site what site??
well so many others feel the same way, pve sucks atm. really bad. the only tweek theyve done, is change drone agro, its doesnt feel any different there either but… they “changed” something, nothing useful. abit like the recent ui update the did nothing for the overview or apeal of the game,
should be a MSO not a MMO

More group PVE activity would be a good thing. And yes, there’s mining ops where u can shoot a few rats that come at you, but that isn’t really the same as a group anom. And of course there is doing abyssals, that “can” be run as a group of up to 3 frigates, but also is designed for just solo runs. Would be great to see some activity that really “needs” a group, something like scanned-down escalations with gate-entry size limitations with bouncing aggro. The damage could be scaled in a way that it escalates if it doesn’t bounce, so it would be difficult for single-players to manage, and maybe it could even be set up in a way that it runs best with a mixed-ship composition, making it rather difficult to multibox. Things like stormbringers are quite easy to multibox because it’s simply a lightning rod and then all other accounts just doing the exact same action.

It wasn’t so much the PvE that was interesting. It was not.

The interesting part was that it was a unique COSMOS site in one particular system with a potential big payout that could probably be soloed once a day in a Marauder (or two). We instead did it in a bigger group because it was often contested and resulted in fights with the neighbours. The fun part of that PvE wasn’t the PvE though, it was the banter and the PvP fights that came from it.

If it isn’t better, then why do people multibox multiple ships in one site?

Grouping up is safer as it deters smaller roaming groups, is more fun (if you enjoy company) and is decent ISK. There’s no reason you cannot team up to do sites faster.

Also if you take into account that some NPCs will repair or regenerate while you shoot them, this means that shooting twice as much dps is more than twice the amount of NPCs killed in the same time. Teaming up can be more efficient than both doing your own thing.

done where you live. but the math is not the same where i am. i make more via diferent sites. 2m per tic + loot not much slower either.

No amount of refusal to believe the facts will change them.

EvE is already designed for multiple people to take on almost every type of content. The simple fact is that you run the content faster with more people taking part. Simple logic then says that since you can do more content in the same amount of time, you therefore make more money in the same amount of time. 2x500dps will always be faster than 1x500dps.

To say that this simple bit of reality is wrong is simply asinine.
