Hacking Player owned star gates - to change the destination


I personally use jump gates every day through null and they shorten the time to get where i need to go but also makes it a lot safer.

What i would like to see, is the ability to hack the gate and change its destination ( partner gate) allowing spy’s / covert attacks on alliance’s transportation network, giving the “attackers” an ability to make gate camps in a system that they choose ( rage being a factor) until the gate is hacked back and set back to its original destination.

I think this would be a good laugh ( for the attackers) and cause a lot of frustration to large alliance’s that rely on this day to day.




I think the dilemma is it takes 2 gates to form a connection. Also despite how hilarious this would be, I’m unsure this would promote much combat and be more annoying than strategic
