Hardware and software problem. Advertising is prohibited

How do I solve the problem if I can’t discuss any hardware and software issues? Obviously not here, so the whole forum is completely useless, because advertising is prohibited. Problems are often related to a branded, driver or program, even eve online is a brand. Difficult to play the game if the monitor turns off or screen goes white. The problem is common, so I’m definitely not the only player with the same problem.

What are you talking about? It isn’t “advertising” if you name your hardware to get help playing the game. Just post your system specs and describe the problems and the circumstances when it occurs.

My Potato PC:

  • CPU Intel Core i7 Extreme 965 @ 3.20GHz
  • GPU ASUS NVIDIA GeForce GTX 590 (Very old DirectX 11 card). Memory Size 1.50 GB DDR5 Samsung and Bus Width 384 bits (Video BIOS Version 70.10.37.00.02).
  • NVIDIA Driver Version 391.35 WHQL. Release Date 2018.3.27 (Last worked driver version to the very old GPU card)
  • Motherboard ASUS P6T WS PRO (Bios 1205 09/24/2010)
  • RAM 3* CORSAIR CMT12GX3M3A2000C9 DDR3 12GB (3X4GB) 2000 MHz 1.65V ver 8.16
  • Windows 10 Professional (x64) Version 22H2, Build 19045.4529 DirectX 12.0

The GPU turns off the monitor. This same problem has existed for a long time in the eve online game. The GPU will not turn off if there is no reasonable reason for it. There’s something really wrong with the game for a really long time. I wonder if the problem is the old GPU or the size of the GPU memory or what, but there are many players who have exactly the same problem. The player will not recognize the problem if there is no problem with the new GPU. The screen often comes back on, but not always. The monitor is off for far too long and it goes into power saving mode.

Windows 10 gave a notification exefile.exe EVE Online game connection to GPU has been disconnected. The disconnect notification does not come from the EVE Online game. The notification comes from windows 10, but it can be hard to see if the monitor is black at the same moment and I don’t get it every time. The notification appears in the lower right corner in window 10 pro.

I found the program NZXT CAM which prevented the monitor from turning off. NZXT CAM is a hardware monitoring program. You can see temperatures, fan speeds, etc. The program is not intended for my computer, because the motherboard is from Asus. The NZXT CAM program didn’t solve the problem, but it has an effect because the monitor doesn’t turn off anymore. The Eve Online game window freezes or goes white for about 5 seconds if NPC enemies appear. :slightly_frowning_face: The same thing keeps repeating until the enemies are destroyed. Now I can see the monitor screen because the monitor doesn’t turn off anymore. The monitor and eve window stays on if I’m flying alone.

Maybe Eve Online doesn’t work with all graphics cards. I have one realy old Radeon HD5970 Black Edition Dual GPU core card, but it’s probably broken. I suspect a memory or GPU Core soldering problem, which is a common problem with GPU card memories or GPU core chips. The repair can be done by reballing and resoldering the chips on the circuit board again.

3rd GPU card is Radeaon HD4870 x2 Dual GPU core card. I haven’t tested the 3rd card yet. One of these three cards has been used to play the Eve Online game before. I remember one of my computers didn’t work because it did the same thing with the EVE Online game.

Problems:

  • Monitor turn off. NZXT CAM fix this
  • The window or screen freezes about 5 sec. Unsolved
  • The window or screen turn white about 5 sec. Unsolved
