Its never made sense that loot that gets me flagged as suspect doesnt get the same reaction from NPC police as me hauling drugs does.
I’m also disappointed that hauling drugs in high security space no longer is considered contraband.
Why did that ever change?
it changed cause in the 1st few days…ppl carrying antipharmokon’s or whatever they were called and the drugs for shields and combat boosts were triggering the custom’s agents…so CCP took the easy route…and blanket nerfed those agents.
To make drugs more accessible and to remove a convoluted circumvention of throwaway, neg-wallet characters to move them into high sec.
Carebears wanted to use them in their ratting.

Illegal combat, or basically ganking in High Sec, is illegal. Otherwise, there wouldn’t be ship loss involved and a Security Status penalty.
Since the ship that was involved with the illegal combat could not engage in illegal combat without the pilot, any contents of the ship being used is also illegal. Thus, when a ganker engages in illegal combat, the wreck and associated items that were ejected are also considered contraband. Any ship, that scoops the loot from a destroyed ship and the ganker ship are considered part of an illegal combat operation. Looting from either, within a certain time frame after the gank takes place, regardless of who is looting, does make the looting a criminal offense.
Prime example. Two cars are involved in an accident. One driver is at fault and the other is not. While waiting, the driver who was at fault has a friend drive up and steal stuff from the victim’s vehicle. The same scenario applies to ganked wrecks and loot.
If consensual combat between Capsuleers takes place, then the victor is awarded the loot.
In this case the ganker is at fault for the illegal combat, thus the punishment. The friend in the Orca is the friend who comes in and loots the victim’s ship.
But during illegal combat such as ganking in High Sec, the loot needs to go into a period of stasis before turning blue.
High Sec Stasis 1.0 to .7: two minutes
High Sec Stasis .6: 1 minute
High Sec Stasis .5: 25 seconds
After the stasis period has ended, anyone is able to loot the wreck without Concord popping their ship.
So what’s the point besides adding more seagulling to ganking? Your change just means that people have to set safety yellow and spam click loot all on the wreck and hope they’re faster at clicking than the other guy.
