Just going threw the market, I did look today about the online tools and see no need for them except the cool wormhole route plotter combo but I have no need for it yet. Just used the first decent hauling ship I picked up from the mining tutorial, sometimes the merlin because I had it rigged for speed most items I traded in needed very little room, but when I couldn’t find anything very good I would fill it with anything that would turn a profit. I knew I wasn’t going to be the fastest or going to have anything near decent equipment so I just had to go for it, when you just start and have next to nothing invested its pretty easy to risk it all.
Alright so correct me if I got this wrong.
You open up the market window
You look through the hundreds of thousands of items randomly
You try to find an item where it has a low sell order in one station and a high buy order in another
You buy from the low station and haul it to the high station where you sell it
Is that right? Which items did you trade the most? Which item was it that netted you nearly 400mil?
Yes, but now that would be giving to much info, I might need to make money again 
but I do hope my input helped. After you look through the items enough you’ll get a feel for the expensive and in demand items, just have to start somewhere… I’ve played other MMO’s so it was easy to spot things I guess.

Don’t feel bad my favorite items have nothing showing right now, with the profit im sure they are nearly every ones favorite items. Kinda like fishing some days your lucky, some days you cuss the water out for hours.

You haven’t truly played until a guy in a T1 clunker wrecks your sh** because he just has a better understanding of timings and fittings than of skills and shinny objects.
You just got lucky then. Catching 30 sites-worth of loot because you were passing through sounds like bullsh** to me.
But what you’ve supposedly been doing to make money is pretty standard.
But just remember, while you’re shuffling around cargo for making ISK, that cargo is being bought by someone to do something cool with.

Pretty sure this guy is exaggerating. You watch pro-traders work their trades in their tutorials and it’s an hour for 10-50mil kind of spreads. You have to trade huge volumes at decent risk to make billions.
On top of that, hauling freight is a sh** job and doesn’t earn that much.
He claims he’s made Billions doing it, but I think either he got incredibly lucky on a pass-by to get large enough capital, or he’s full of it?
Because a new character doesn’t even have the skill sets to close the margins enough to make trading worth a billion a week.
Realize 100mil/hour is a good income in isk, and that still takes 10 hours a week to EARN a billion.
Like most day-traders, they vastly over inflate their egos and like sirens tempt others to waste a ton of time day trading.
If the margin of trades/shipping was 1billion a week of normal game play, everyone would do it and crash that revenue stream.
So it logically doesn’t exist…

Oh yeah just like any MMO there is gearing that will max dps in the best way, heal in the best way, and tank in the best way i’ve seen most items just seem to be the same things but vary for the races, not sure whats what yet but lots of time to learn while I level.
I was just scanning about 100k from the gate maybe still floating, saw the first pirate blow up his loot was yellow, then next guy took it the npcs blew him up! Then it was grey, I said ■■■■ this scanning! Whats in the box!! I still got it if the guy that lost it wants to tell me in game where it was, I remember… Everything is saved

Don’t expect the game to be too balanced…there was a time where Caldari used to rule PvP and Amarr would get instantly owned. So … don’t expect SC2 level of balance lol.
