The Tholos seems perfectly suited to targetting ships in high and low sec systems due to it’s damage over time effect.
Due to this mechanic, the ship can hit and run and evade the concords. All the while the target ship continues to take damage.
All thats needed then is to track the target until it’s really low health or maybe even just dies.
Is it me or does the Cenotaph breacher pods make piracy quite a lot easier and less risky or should this ship be used in a different way?

I can’t right now, but I just wanted to share this because I was chatting about piracy recently and I cannot for the life of me see why pirates are not using the Tholos more.
Maybe it’s just that with the Tholos the focus is not on the gate camp, but tracking the target over it’s jumps through systems. The focus is on seeing targets early in their voyage rather than later in their voyage.
But what do you think. Think it would work?
That sounds like you don’t want it to deal damage but let the module place a tracker signal on a ship instead.
If you are still refering to damage, however: Try it in high sec.
Yes I’m referring to the damage over time mechanism. So I could hit a target with the pods and not need to follow it for the damage to take effect.
Tracking would have to be done by someone who can follow or keep the ship on grid because it might change course or something.
The only issue is that it might be able to dock at station which would nullify the whole thing. Might have to scram and web a ship down - which I don’t think causes concord retailiation.
Lol please go ahead and shoot a non-flagged capsuleer in a tholos in hs. Let me know when and where so I can watch the fireworks.
First up: Evading CONCORD, by any means, is an Exploit. It can get you banned.
Second: go and throw a Breacher Pod at a random neutral in Hisec. Please report back your findings.
I can’t see this going too well, I believe if the target uses a gate then the effect of the breacher pod ceases. Plus those breacher pods aren’t cheap!

I ensure you that while the Tholos IS a great piracy ship, it definitely will never be used in that way you think. Yes, sometimes there is the requirement that you explode a vessel in Highsec so that you can take a better look inside. However, there are much cheaper ways of achieving this than feeding a ship worth several hundred million ISK to our dear CONCORD officers.

This guy below uses a 1.56 bil Marauder to farm faction warfare targets in Jita. So it all comes down to how creative the pirate capsuleer is. 
One cannot ‘run and evade the concords’.
If you illegally attack someone in high security space your warp drive will be disabled until CONCORD disassembles your expensive Tholos.
You will have better luck with this ship against legal targets or against anyone outside HS.
Was this tried out already? Isn’t updated - atleast not yet.
