High Sec Isk per Hour

That’s the question ain’t it. Hard to estimate. All depends on subjective truthiness

That depends on many factors.

  • how good are you at scanning, are you afk zombieclowning it up or actually putting in effort
  • do you scan in busy and obvious (Caldari) space or find a more quiet area, away from the masses
  • have you learned what the good systems or areas are. combat site spawn isn’t random, some areas are better than others and only through bookmarking all valid sites over time, and using basic logic, you can figure out where to look and what to avoid.

So in the beginning, as a newbie, it’ll suck but long term you’ll get better at it and find way more sites. from my earlier post I found 5 sites in 90 minutes, which isn’t massively high or anything but very much above average for starters.

A couple of years ago I clocked myself over a whole month, all time devoted to doing combat sites the moving back and forth everything included, and then offset that by total profits for that month. Turns out that I ended up making 92 mil/h.

yeah thats wrong considering i can get more than that in 1 tick and i do full clears, you also dont seem to be doing blitz or burners and factoring in lp

Very much so, it develops a further point of conflict and allows hisec industrialists the ability to compete. A very good move by CCP in my opinion. You should also note that with the blackout in nullsec indy players of small and medium sized alliances are setting up shop on hisec moons.

I thought according to you there was only one way and we had to get used to it?

Hes playing EVE wrong in all ways

uhh with salvage and mission reward and lp you should be making like 125 mil to 150 mil an hour in missioning my friend.

More detail needed, I know that is possible (100m more like) but it requires very specific play which most people won’t bother doing. But you could of course be talking about burner missions…

I love reading your Eve yarns.

I can’t run as fast as Mo Farah, it doesn’t make his times a fabrication, it just means he’s a better runner than I am.

The same goes for Eve, you might not be able to achieve the income that others do, that doesn’t make their income a tall tale, it just means that they’re better at Eve, or just plain optimising, than you are.

Which to be fair isn’t hard, you set a pretty low standard.

You don’t get to dictate who replies to your posts, especially when you accuse them of embroidering the facts.

If your not using auto target missiles for this semi afk style of play you’re doing it wrong! I mean who targets anything any more? lol

Because it takes too long.

I value my time over being afk and trundling.

If I set a goal of hitting 5 or 6 escalations then running them I’m happier using sebos and selecting my targets for one shotting, rather than wasting time on sentries and missile turrets. I can also ensure that if a faction rat spawns I’m not going to accidentally overlook the wreck, as I’ll have seen it.

Also, considering I can usually get the amount of escalations I want to run in a very short space of time, it really isn’t a chore.

No. I’m not doing it wrong.

I agree they are low but those numbers are what I am averaging. Yesterday I ran combat anoms for 3 hours and averaged 9M isk per hour. Today I got a good drop for the first time in two months but it is only 64M implant.

Your numbers will improve as you find ways of optimising what you do.

Some of that optimisation will come about because of increased levels of SP, both in terms of what your ship can do, and the rewards given by agents and Concord due to standings, which can be increased through the social skills.

Some of it will come from finding more efficient ways to accomplish your goal, some will come from finding more profitable activities.

Obviously RNG does play a part in all of this, although you can minimise the effect of it to a certain extent by becoming informed about which parts of the activities you choose to do pay more.

For example I probably turn down somewhere in the region of 30% of the missions I’m offered, simply because they’re not a good time investment; that said I have good enough standings to be able to do this without overly impacting the selection of agents available to me.
