In B4 recommendations on 2-3b ship fits to better attain 50m per hour.
Good drops happen fairly often. Itās about volume: doing a whole bunch of sites. On competition: BE the competition, the one who takes it from others. Thatās really not difficult if you put in some effort and choose to fly the right type of ships and fits.
You must have a very dead area of space or you are a master of finding these sites. I canāt say Iāve come across enough of these to count as any form of volume.
Truth be told most people who focus on 3/10s get them as escalations from farming anoms.
Itās not a case of āfindingā them.
I used to do it and could have 8 to 10 racked up in quite a short space of time, zipping from refuges to hideways in a Confessor and blitzing.
Ah that would explain it then. Thanks. Iāve only received a few escalations and the payout/loot was horrible except once.
Yeah Iāve had days when Iāve run them to double figures and had less than 100m. Then Iāve had days when Iāve popped a faction rat in an anom and itās dropped an omega.
Praise R N Jesus.
Combat sites donāt spawn randomly, some systems and areas have an above average chance to spawn combat sites. The trick is to, over time, realise and recognize that pattern.
Then it becomes a whole lot easier, especially if you choose to do it in less crowded regions.
And any competition you might run in to can be beaten most of the time, if you do it right and donāt fly a useless ship (like the Gila, it always loses).
Youāre doing it wrong, even a relatively newbro in a Venture can pull nearly half of that in an hour, an exhumer or barge mines at least 4x as fast.
With what build and ore (to help out the OP)? Just taking a quick sample a fully skilled T2 fit procurer (unlikely unless a fully dedicated miner) nets 10m in Azure Plag ore per hour without accounting for any drop off trips or drone flight time.
Again, Iām not personally a mining specialist, so curious on 28m+ per hour.
Edit: Correction, I didnāt load mining crystals. Too lazy to math the extra gain vs crystal cost.
For me, fleet mining ice and moon goo are the top isk earners in hi-sec. Lvl 3 and 4 missions can be extremely lucrative as well if you are running the ones that randomly drop certain shield modules. My CEO has been known to rake in close to billion a day worth of modules doing them. But again, the drops are random.
Nothing special.
2 T1 mining lasers and a T1 mining upgrade. Ore would be either Pyroxeres or Dense Veldspar. It also depends on the local market.
I can pull about 2.5-3 million an hour with a 3M SP alpha character (very little of which is actually in mining), where he loses out is refining, itās more profitable to sell the ore than refine it into minerals.
Last time I tracked my income it was over 300 mil/hr blitzing burners. LP market goes up and down so some +/- on that right now itās +. also get the occasional faction drop random enough I never really tracked them as they just seem too random between the drop rate and value of mods that can drop, some are near worthless others up to 300 mil.
then looks like lv3s you can max out between 40-80 mil/hr depending on your LP conversions, probably some room to improve that with cherry picking. Yea itās a pretty big range but it was something of a curiosity havenāt gone anywhere near rigorous with testing lv3s and probably never will.
I just did a 4 of 10 DED site. Total for loot, salvage and bounties was 4.7M it took me an hour to run/salvage it.
I know the number sound low but the pattern is there. Either I am having a really good run of $HIT loot drops or CCP has screwed with stuff again.
If you do it right, depending on faction, a 4/10 takes 5-10 minutes. If you waste time on looting & salvaging the normal wrecks then thatās time you could have used finding another combat site that might have dropped more. Using a better ship, fit and piloting massively helps, what helps even more is not wasting time on unimportant stuff.
In combat sites the real income is the faction target/structure drops, anything else is peanuts and thus a waste of time. If youāre a completist then thatās fine of course but if youāre complaining about income from doing those sites, you know itās because of your own choices.
Ok, so if I burned through it and got that little 500K BULL$HIT drop that I got. It would be what, 2M an hour?
I make about 70m isk an hour. 24/7. From Pi in HS. Just gotta know what to do.
In terms of actual work per day you dont even want to know. Youāll cry.
Estimating 350m isk an hour for the last two days. Play a little. Go spend the rest of my time banging or sunbathing or go to the gym.
Iām a big Pi promoter.
Different folks do things in different ways, personally I blitz lvl 3ās in a RHML Raven for SoE LP, it absolutely rips through them and I can polish several off an hour. I rarely loot but if I do itās just a case of dropping an MTU and bookmarking for later, I donāt bother with the salvage as itās a bad time investment for me, for others it may be worthwhile.
On a side note there are systems that collect multiple combat anoms due to the respawn mechanic. These systems tend to be very quiet and off the beaten track, Youāre generally alone in them and given the number of anoms that spawn, theyāre a fairly good time investment.
Itās very simple. Exploration income is very RNG based. So if you do one site an hour or more then you can be either lucky or unlucky. If you speed run sites and do a ton of them then the rng stop being rng and becomes a constant. So PER SITE it could be ā ā ā ā or good, OVERALL itāll be nice income.
RNG is not really a difficult concept to understand tbh. Do more sites, waste less time, optimise, only go for the main target, avoid any combat if you can (some pockets you donāt have to clear, just kill the triggers). Optimise more. And then on top of that what I wrote earlier: learn what the good systems and areas are, so you increase your chances of finding a combat site.
Exploration takes effort and initiative. Do well and it pays well, be a mediocre grind zombie and it pays ā ā ā ā . You can choose to be and do either, itās really just a choice. Sometimes I have 10 sites in a row that pay fckall, good thing then I have set a route for 30+ systems in HS meaning Iāll get lots of rng chances.
Seriously: optimise and put in thought and youāll do fine.
While I like how helpful some of guys are trying to be, this is about your isk per hour.
I want to see if I am an isolated case or if this more wide spread. If this is wide spread then CCP did something and if it is just me then I am the whipping boy for RNG right now but two weeks of this sucks!
Make me p1s itll be better
