High sec needs more war decs

That’s still a universal change that affects everyone equally. It’s in no way a change that specifically boosts PvP at the expense of PvE.

Would be true if haulers and freighters could fight back generally speaking. that change gave 20%damage to gankers and cut 20% of hauler resistance modules.

Haulers should be escorted.

Just like the gankers get a benefit from the damage increase by being able to kill the haulers faster, so do the escort ships get a benefit from the damage increase by being able to kill the gankers faster.

And an unescorted hauler will die regardless. If the gankers need one less Thrasher to do it, the impact is marginal, because 99.9% of gank attempts are going to be successful.

alia just killed a care bear

not true . mounting guns in a hauler makes no difference, as it has not bonus, powergrid or cpu to tank AND fit DPS. Not speaking about haulers it would be even worse.

Escorted, not armed. Arming a hauler is completely pointless, I agree.

agree. But that doesn’t change the fact that OP just want game changes to make his life easier ( or funnier maybe because he is bored just like James?) and won’t be happy untill CCP makes a button that kill all miners/haluers instantly

What the OP (and others, including me) are asking for is for the system to be reverted (or changed to something better) after it was changed multiple times in favor of the anti-PvP crowd. That’s not the same as asking for a handout out of nowhere. Wars were intentionally nerfed multiple times over the years to reach their current state.

That’s quite a reach. If we got something like that, we would leave the game faster than if CCP further nerfed PvP. Which is not to say that we want further nerfs to PvP, just to be clear.

For us, it’s the thrill of the chase and kill.

Truly you have won the internet this day.

Some will I agree. But we both know that many would just keep in, griefing as they used to when y could wardec any corp for ages very cheap

I think that tying the legitimate gameplay mechanic of warfare to “griefing” is a very flawed stance.

What would be a not legitimate gameplay then?

In what sense? As in griefing?

I would say that targeting a specific person over and over again while sending them mails telling them to quit the game (or something worse) would be considered as “griefing.”

The player should learn the game and put a 1000000 isk price to mail them.

Get some last laughs

Exactly. not even need the mails part. I experienced that myself. Saw many folks around me being farmed over and over for weeks to a point they couldn’t do any activity they liked .hasn’t the knowledge on how to avoid it as they where new. all because briefers could Dec them over and over , so they had denied the option to be part of a group, some of them even RL friends. Many left the game and never heard of again. now i think it’s balanced ( still can be improved here and there) y can still be part of a group , just not with the benefits of owning structures, if you cannot defend it. now they have time to learn about the game and choose to fight if they want to.

Just killing someone over and over against isn’t considered “griefing.”

Griefing can best be defined as doing something within the confines of the rules and mechanics of a game in order to achieve an effect that goes beyond the scope of the game. So for example, what Erotica 1 did was definitely an example of griefing. But declaring war on you and killing you over and over again is not griefing, since you have very clear “outs” that can make you unaffected by this, such as by leaving the player corporation and joining an NPC corporation, or joining a null-sec alliance, or hiring someone to protect you, or offer to pay a protection fee, etc. etc.

It only feels like griefing for the war recipients because they usually don’t try to change anything about their situation, and resort only to complaining about it verbally.

You looking from a perspective of an experienced player. new players don’t even know some of those options exists. go.nullsec, hire protection, fees, those are all much effort and expensive way outs. Quit playing is much more attractive from their perspective. That’s the point.

Because they’re not receiving proper guidance from their carebear CEOs and directors.

That is the real issue with the game, not wars or ganking.

Maybe the only solution is to have a few initial rookie training corporations led by verified, combat-experienced players, into which new players get placed automatically. That way, a new player can’t get picked up by some vapid bottom-feeder who needs more warm bodies for his once-weekly high-sec mining ops.

If someone gave me 200 new players, and you tried to attack us, you’d be shitting your pants one hour into the war. Alas, I have a full-time job already. But maybe, maybe, if CCP wants to have better player retention, they can hire a few people to do exactly this.

Hi Sec DOES NOT NEED MORE WAR DECS… Go to Null Sec if you want to ruin the game play of others…

you quoted the wrong person. Safira is not asking for more war decs… thats the “top” agent of CODE asking for more wardecs…

and destiny, targeting the same character over and over and over, regardless in or out of a NPC corp is considered harassment, if you are preventing them from doing anything… and that is on the same level as griefing, in CCP’s eyes.
