Not necessarily, Dr. Valate. The Drifters have been biomass-hungry body-snatchers I think at least as long as they’ve been in space. They usually have their autothysian lancers do the dirty work but I don’t know that there’s any rule that Drifter battleships can’t scoop a corpse.
I’m not even sure it’s unprecedented. That’s something ARC was going to be double-checking.
I hereby confirm the above message of the Executrix as the remains in question are being kept and guarded onboard of the ‘Bellona Andraste’. The ‘Bellona Andraste’ is a retrofitted Avalanche-class freighter that is currently docked in the Amarr Navy Assembly Plant in Safizon.
At the time of writing the remains are still a bit of a mystery as I personally have not heard or encountered situations where a corpse would be recovered from the wreck of any Drifter battleship.
Searching through public combat records, it could be the remains of one Chiara Shakiel who had her capsule destroyed by an Artemis Tyrannos 1-2 hours before fleet operations began in the Sentinel Hive system of J055520.
