We do all 3 cycles of cap to the Dread

Another group comes in and shoots the target structure with a frig

We then do not get the payout?

So how is this allowed?

You would think that CCP would deploy the same fixes to these sites that they implemented to the Drifter Crisis HF-lookalikes. But then again, we are talking about CCP. :smiley:

YES BAD CCP, not deploying a NPC babysitter for each farmer. unacceptable!
Sell your CCP shares right now (i buy them for 2cents on the dollar)

just delete all the sites at once and give each new player a bazillion isk and 2 million PLEX … that will stop them … LoL

The whole point of Homefront is to learn dealing with problems that come at you, and solve them as a team, so the carebaers can go out and do some more serious gameplay.
You already got a major advantage with the Equinox update that turns seagulls into Suspects just by activating the gate.

if you not hammer them, that’s on you.

If it was potchven or lowsec, I would agree, but this crap going on in highsec is just stupid.

Make the site get “owned” by the group who starts it, and all others get a suspect timer upon entering. similar to lowsec FW anoms

Make the seagulls have to risk something.

Alternatively, make the site about capping a dread count the cap for their calculations on which group did more to complete the site, as opposed to using the total damage dealt metric when damage is literally irrelevant to completing the site.

what i great idea… i will fix a fleet of cloaky ships inside the site and anyone who takes gate will become suspect and i will be able to gank them without being concord

I am going to assume, against my better judgement, that you are just emotional from another post or life in general. but I will attempt to reason with you.

Have you done a homefront?

The specific one in question was the Drifter lancer homefront.
Here you have to supply capacitor to the lancer Dreadnaught so it can fire its main weapon.

You need to do this 3 times as each time for the Dreadnaught.
We had already completed this twice and was on our final activation.

This is when another fleet with a punisher came in and the punisher shot the structure the Dreadnaught had targeted.

Because of this, the other team received the reward

This seems fair to you?
This does not seem askew in the fact the objective is to supply the Dreadnaught with capacitor and not destroy the structure?

CCP cannot track cap transfers for participation, therefore the other team had more ‘participation’ due to the damage. People have been switching to 4 Augs and a dps dueto this to prevent seagulls.

i was just being sarcastic, sorry if that was not clear in the way i wrote the reply.

yes we run fleets at least 3 times/week inviting friendly neighbors to join.

i have never seen a Drifter Lancer Mission, could be because we are in a different region.

we have something similar called Dread Assault: Primary base

in those missions you are supposed to

  • help the Dreadnought helping you
  • get the structure destroyed

if there are more then one team in the site, then the team that deal’t the highest damage get’s the reward. if you manage to get the Dreadnought to fire, it will be the ship that deal’t the highest damage and you get the reward.

if you not shoot yourself, and someone else comes in, and trows a rock which deals 1HP … that makes them the team with the highest damage as 0 is smaller than 1.

the mission brief says “we need you to hold back the ships and boost the dradnaught”

primary objective is to “hold back enemy ships”

though I am not as gifted(not sarcasm) I dont know how to line item quote as you do. But let me address some things please.

first off If my team is in there and we never cap up the dread, we will fail the mission, even if we kill all the enemies. and alas the enemies constantly respawn.

Second the thief in question did not kill any of the enemies(though i am 99% sure, I cannot be 100%, but since the punisher was in and then warped out before the enemy could pop him. . . )

third, I have changed up my tactics now. We now apply damage tothe station and that seems to thwart the thieves :slight_smile:

To be clear, I am not made that there are thieves, I am mad that once again CCP has done something half arsed and has yet to fix it.

the point was, deal some damage and the seagulls have nothing to gain… its that simple.

Yes, happened to me as well.
we run 2 Drifter Dread sites, russians come in, shoot the thing with a Thorax and 5 Augorors, we get no payout, they get everything. They just blitz all the sites in the system. Nothing to do against it.
We go to a different site, on our third cap cycle they come in and steal it again.

Broken site. They should be like homefronts and make the second fleet coming in suspect.

You are correct, but in the Drifter sites that have the same mechanics, it doesn’t exist, and it breaks the whole thing because people just steal them.
