How can I find wrecks in the middle of space?

As you can see in the image below, I can see a bunch of wrecks on the scanner. I also determined the exact distance (9.4AM) but there is nothing there. I also checked all the Anomalies and Combat sites, nothing is there.

Question: How do I find/get to these wrecks?

You cant scan them down.

Option a: combat probe a mission runner or anyone doing DED sites, insurgencies etc. and bookmark their location to return to salvage or show up and ninja salvage

B: ask a runner to salvage behind them and ask them to " abandon" the wrecks so you can loot as well

You cannot easily go there now anymore, but with some preparation you could.

Frequently people come up with ideas to reach those wrecks anyway, like ‘with probes!’

Here’s an answer I gave to that question earlier, as well as some tips on how you could get to such wrecks:

You can bounce back and forth making bookmarks and triangulating.

Triangulating the site with your warp drive, bookmarks and dscanner definitely is possible.

It may take a while though and likely isn’t worth the rewards when salvage is as cheap as it is today, but it is possible.

The real problem with triangulation in Eve Online, there might be no direct point to point path to the field of wrecks. If the battle took place in a cosmic, then the cosmic is gone and the wrecks are all that remains. It would be very unlikely you could get within range to jump to them.

Have fun!

While it would be useful, you do not need a direct point to point path to the site.

As long as the site is within the volume spanned by all other warpable objects in system you can get there with warp drive triangulation.

After all you could get a bookmark closer ‘behind’ the grid by warping between two other objects, and repeat that process to get close.

Whenever I triangulate a spot the end point is surrounded by dozens of bookmarks in almost all directions.

It also could lie outside that volume, only in that case you cannot get there with warping. And without warping it’s going to take literal months or years to burn astrononical distances with microwarp drive only, so then you’re out of luck.

Just look for the mobile tractor units… This has been mentioned before, but having a beacon for abandoned mission sites that could be warped to could kind of be fun. Something that could be filtered out if so desired.

I look for MTUs everyday!!!
