Your scan strength of your probes determines what “level” scan items you can resolve to 100%. If that data site is a “Level IV” or “Level V” I suspect your scan strength is not that strong. Since your purpose is to scan down gas sites (Which have a “Y” icon) you can skip these data sites anyway.
However, there is a trick to eek out the last few %: Hold down control (or is it alt?) and scroll wheel down. Your probes will all collapse and move super close together, making the “pinpoint” formation more like a sphere. That can increase your strength by a few last %. However, this is only a end-scanning move, you don’t want to do this in the beginning/middle of a scan.
Afterwards, to reset the formation, press the “pinpoint formation” button in your scan window.

And holding down the [SHIFT] key allows you to move individual probes.
