Did I miss something? Used to be when you docked in a station in a pod and you had no ships in the station, you were given a noob ship. Not anymore, apparently. How are you supposed to get them now?

Been longer than that since I needed a rookie ship, I guess. Now I know.

a while after citadels have been introduced, players had no way to get corvettes in the citadels as they were only available in the stations upon docking.
CCP redesigned this to enable acquiring corvettes manually a while ago.
