Apart from the 500k active players in 2012, has CCP ever released numbers on how many players in total have been active, say within the past month?

Yeah, that’s active character accounts for a specific time frame, not active player count.
I could guess that there are many more than we know.
i think it was like last year they were bragging about 300k subs
