With Eve-Online being based off of rolling dice to achieve the results, how many dice are rolled per each ship function then multiply times each ship in the game, then per day.
How much kinetic energy would be created by ships using the dice rolling mechanic on a daily basis?
Also new mechanics, such as weapons and shields and other active modules should have a random, module turned off roll. The older the ship is and the modules are, the more likely the ship will break down at the most in oppurtune time or just randomly, until fixed.
In the old turn based systems, if the character wanted to conduct a sequence of events, moving to a new place and executing numerous actions for example, was all done using dice sets.
Im assuming those same mechanics are still used in Eve Online, just a lot faster.
The digital dice are rolled and the action takes place.
Are the digital dice rolls infinite in the number of times each day that a player moves a ship or conducts an action?
God doesn’t play dice with the universe. Albert said this about the randomness in quantum mechanics, suggesting that he believed the universe operates according to set laws and nothing is left to chance. Einstein’s point of view was the fundamental nature of reality is governed by predictable laws, not by random events.
Since no dice are being rolled the answer is zero energy.
I did some research. DUCK!
oh wait that is a goose.
@DrysonBennington
Using this formula K.E. = 1/2 × m × v2
The following measurements;
2 dice weigh in at 12 grams
Tossed on a craps table 1 meter per second
Each second coverts to 0.024 watts of energy.
Now you need the number of ships online daily. Yesterday was very busy and at one point there was over 35k people online. Maybe 30k ships?
3600 seconds per hour x 30k ships x 0.024 watts = roughly 2.6 million watts per hour
@Antihrist_Pripravnik is ancient, been flying spaceships since the dinosaurs roamed the earth, and by the way - french fries with ketchup are delicious. But do not , and I repeat do not put garlic seasoning on my french fries, or face Zaera’s wrath.
