Hi, I’m quite new player. I’m Omega, I have Procurer ship. I want to try Ice-mining.
But I cannot find any ice mining site! How to find it?
I visited two system which should have such sites in Amarr space - Dantan, Kothe. I probe-scanned them using Core probe launcher I +Core scanner probe.
Dantan had only Wormhole and CombatSite.
Kothe had some “Metaliminal Meteroid: Amarr Mining”, Combat sites. But I see no ice mining sites as it is on Youtube videos. And I cannot enter that “Metaliminal Meteroid” because it doesn’t accept Procurer.
Use this.
Open the map for your region and the ice belts are circled in blue.
I used that already… Im able to find the system… BUT what should I do when I arrive into that system? I probe-scanned, I found no ice belts…
No need to probe, they are in the mining slot with other asteroid belts.
But they don’t last long and take a few hours to respawn.
I just found “Ice belt” in Kothe. I HAD TO use Probe scanner!
While you need the probe scanner window to see the anomalies in the system, you don’t need probes to really probe ice belts.
Many anomalies are always 100% warpable and already green in the probe scanner window, ice belts included.
This may have been the cause of the confusion: you don’t need probes to find an ice belt but you can find it in the probe scanner window.
Normally I’d charge at least a billion isk for my services.
Click the Agency Tab, then click Resource Harvesting then Click Ice Belt.
This one is a freebie.
I see, thanks.
Apologies I forgot that bit.
It’s been a while since I mined any ice.
Just to be precise regarding the terminology:
Cosmic Anomalies
are always 100% scanned (even if you just entered system) and can be warped to immediately.Cosmic Signatures
require to be scanned down (they are at 0% without it) and only after being completely scanned (to 100%) can be warped to.
Both can be accessed through the probe scan window.
