How to get PI products out of an orbital skyhook?

Dear Capsuleers,
as the title of this thread says: I can’t figure out how to get my PI products out of the orbital skyhook connected with that planet.
Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Just like before with the POCO.

How did you get your goods out of a POCO?

You select the POCO and then there appears an open cargo deposit symbol in the UDI.
This symbol does not appear when i select the skyhook.
But i just was told how to access stuff: you need to right click the skyhook and the select open custom office from the pop up menu.

Glad you found it!

There are many ways to access the POCO or Skyhook. Now that I’m at my PC I can share some pictures.

This submenu works the same for both the POCOs and Skyhooks:

I often use this to warp to within 0 m of the next POCO/Skyhook and then open it.

Within the Planetary Industry window you can rightclick the planet directly, allowing you to skip two submenus in that list.

My preferred and quickest way to open the POCO/Skyhook is the radial menu. Pressing the icon of the POCO or skyhook while you’re next to it brings up the radial menu. If you click, hold and move your mouse up it’s really easy to open the POCO/Skyhook:

While this option is a lot quicker than the first picture, it requires you to know where the Skyhook is to click it. Not as helpful when you just undocked and are looking into a random direction of space, but real useful if you just warped to the Skyhook or POCO and it’s in front of you.

I believe it’s the most intuitive method that he is missing…

I forgot that that window is an option as well.

Does anyone use the target window for anything? I haven’t looked at that in years. Maybe that’s also why CCP forgot about it - the radial menu has completely replaced it for me.

I never use the radiation menu, even set it on longest delay so it never shows up. Always using the “selected item window”.

They both do the same thing, but where the radial menu requires one click wherever the target is, the selected item window requires you to click the target and then click a window on another place of your screen to do the same action.

The radial menu really makes navigation and interaction with targets much more fluid. I recommend giving it a try!

From a UX design point of view, this interface is equine effluent.

Come on CCP sort it out.

This is one of the reasons I don’t PI btw, I can’t be bothered to learn another counterintuitive interface :stuck_out_tongue:
I lile the idea of the radial menu but the “hold - drag - release” selection mechanism can **** right off.

I much prefer ‘hold - drag - release’ over ‘click target, click another window, enter range at which to orbit target at, press enter’ to do the exact same thing.

The first option with radial menu requires less clicking and is much faster. You just have to use it a bit to get used to it, that’s all.

Maybe a click and hold to make the menu appear after a short time-put and persist (even after releasing the click that invoked it/ until you either select an option, left/right click anywhere else on screen or press Esc.

It’s the hold and drag and release that ruins me, especially if you press it by accident because you’re close to a station and zoomed in - that’s a delay to getting to my bookmarks I didn’t need. I currently have to zoom right out before I right click so as to avoid triggering the radial menu - which does not have my bookmarks in it :stuck_out_tongue:
