Then what, exactly, is the problem ? Howcome in 100 or so posts here you cannot simply get to the point ?
I have got to the point, including later in the post you just quoted. Where the communication breaks down is you refuse to acknowledge the point. I’m not being pulled off topic by you though so if you can’t focus on the topic and instead need to focus on trolling me, don’t respond. I won’t be responding to any further troll attempts from you.
Not when getting ganked is one of the intended parts of the game’s enjoyment. Players who don’t enjoy getting ganked as part of the whole of the game’s activities are fundamentally playing the wrong game.
It’s an emergent playstyle isn’t it? That’s what people call it because it isn’t designed, it’s something that emerged from players behaviour. So I’m not sure it’s intended at all, and I’m certain that the intention wasn’t for people to gank others with the specific goal of disrupting someone else with no chance of the ganker actually gaining anything from the gank.
This, when carebears play call of duty do they also raid the forums every time they die? No, they don’t. Because that would be pathetic and entitled. It’s no different here, if you don’t want PvP, the please go play one of the millions of other games catered specifically to you and STOP trying to trash my PvP game.
It definitely was intended. Read some old-school CCP interviews.
Actually…
Gankers very often gank for profit and yes, this is an intended and often-iterated mechanic. Eve has always been a PvP game. So coming to our game and crying for less PvP would be severely self-centered. It lines up with my experience too. I’ve not met a single ganker/suspect even close to as narcissistic/spiteful/entitled as MOST of the “PvE only” players I meet. It’s really sad that CCP let this entitled bunch run our game for so long.
IMO it would be better if it was on a serperate server and everything there happend 10x faster, so players can come to the realization quicker that Eve without pvp becomes boring very quickly.
SP trains 10x faster
10x the amount of bounties
10x mission rewards
10x mining speed
10x research and manuafacturing speed etc.
All just so players can wake up quicker.
Even if you yourself don’t do pvp it effects you. On a pve only server everyone will be farming the best places 24 7 everything will be worth peanuts and there will be literally nothing left to do within 6 months.
PvEers REQUIRE PvP for any of their efforts to amount to anything. It’s the way the game works. If PvPers weren’t blowing up ships you wouldn’t have enough demand for ships to sustain the amount of production on a PvE server.
Not to mention the fact that if we fracture our playerbase anymore then the game is effectively dead.
It wouldn’t be PvE only across the whole server. Everyone acceptsthat destruction is needed for the markets to work and for proudctio nto matter. What some people don’t like is the notion that everyone should always be at constant threat of being attacked.
Would you support a separate server that was the same as the existing server but a fresh start and with only consenting PvP in highsec?
For me it doesn’t matter I hardly ever go to high sec.
CCP nerfed ganking a lot already with the patch that comes out on the 8th is that not enough thou?
Also… why CCP added so many skills without raising the alpha cap and the referal skill points?
Now we need from 25 to 27 years for trainning all kills… but the plain alpha clone has roughly 350k sp plus possible +1 mil sp from the referal link.
What the Hek!
Nowaays alpha could start with 5 mil sp and have the limit on 20 mil sp.
Why be so stingy on the newcomers?
That’s just plain stinginess!
Why do you need all skills? just specialize. My char is 8 months old and at 35mil sp without buying anything with real money, it does not take too long and I can fly a ton already.
For years all newbros asked me:
-If I sub for a couple months, after the Omega expires, can I still fly my ships?
-No…
So it’s like that, you train the skills as Omega, why not let people keep the Omega skills?
But no… CCP was stingy on that too.
That’s not the point, the point is there’s a lot to do now and a lot of ships and a lot of branches
A newcomer wants to do something and gets slapped by today’s training qeue
The reason people dont stick to EVE it’s because the bar is being raised non stop and the entry level is still it’s old state from 20 years ago
The bar comes through skill points, PLEX and sub price
Why is everybody chasing talks about PvE and PvP changes?
Just wake the F up and look right at the basics a newcomer has to go through
Pot, meet kettle. This post is the third time of me telling you that you’re trying to shrink the sandbox and others are trying to keep it the same size. If not make it bigger. You’ve never acknowledged this because you’ve decided to write everything I say off as a troll rather than engage on the actual criticisms of your position.
If a beginer gets everything handed to them on a silver plate then they have nothing to look forward to, all their goals will be met within months and they will get bored becuase they dont have that super long time dream that keeps them driven and inspired.
Dont bs me or bs yourself
That’s not a silver plate at all, this won’t change any bit about how hard is learning EVE
There is 1000 youtube vids out it is 20x easier to learn now than back when I started and the difficulty made it fun.
