Until recently I could log in into EVE with just my username and password. Sometimes I use the launcher, sometimes Steam, sometimes geforeceNOW. It can get complex, but it worked fine. I just typed username + pw and logged in.
What do I have to do, to be able to log in AGAIN by just using my username and password?
Was something changed? It’s weird because 1 another acc can login simply by using username and password. I do not want any verification E-Mail sent or to use any other code or any smartphone app.
This is what it looks like, but I still always asked for the verification code that has been sent to my e-mail. I did no changes and last week It wasn’t the case.
@Spaceballs_2 the only time I get verification is this forum when I log out or surf incognito mode.
Since this is layers “use the launcher, sometimes Steam, sometimes geforece NOW”. I wonder if the issue is all them layers? I don’t even use my VPN here. I work straight from the launcher and kill it after the client starts. I know that Geforce Now keeps an entire copy of your game on their server with your passwords, any security on this is pretty much out the window at that point. I guess people put a lot of trust and faith in Nvidia. My guess is all those layers. Have you made a Steam convergent account yet? It won’t damage your Steam version. On the pages you posted above, change your password. It will prompt you to make a new login ID and password. Shut down your Steam and just run the game launcher.
@Geo_Eclipse_Oksaras you asked “Though why would you want to remove a layer of security?”. Over on Black Desert they went with auto login and the launcher shuts down automatically after the client starts. They have tons more of security than I need. I am pretty sure, if anyone gains access to my PC they will be after my bank account before some goofy game. I suppose if you lived in a house where people have public access to your machines, you need that layer.
The thing is, I was happy the way it was. I changed nothing but suddenly I have to use email verification every time.

The account I “got from Steam” (where i changed username and pw) is already logged in, when i start GeforceNOW. I just press “Play” and the game starts. If I want to log into the 2nd account I have to “Add account” and after typing in my username and password it always asks me for verification code…
It’s already annoying that I cannot add the 2nd account to Steam but the verification code is just horrendous
Yeah it sucks. I use Geforce at times as well. When you login, they set you up with a computer system somewhere else. So kind of like signing in to an account from a different location, it will ask for Verification Code every time.
What I do is use normal computer most of the time and only use GeForce Now when I know im going to be pvping or incursions or anything with a lot of things going on at once.
I responded six days ago. When using GeForce, if you have to login to a game or site, you will always be asked for verification because it is on a remote computer. If you didn’t use GeForce, it wouldn’t be an issue.
Your best bet is to ask GeForce directly if there’s another way. Though I’m guessing there isn’t one. Sorry to say. GL!
