How to Retain Players in EVE

I wonder how it went

… smoke and fire trails…

No wonder you don’t understand other people’s posts. You have to read all the words-the words

I’m sure the test went well but that alone won’t retain players.

Im sure it went well too

There is inside the ship which I assume can fuel the fire while it is sucked outside by the vacuum of space.

But it would definitely not look like a fire that blows out of a regular seafaring ship’s hull when exploded.

Yes, that’s why it’s important to precise ā€œā€¦fire and smoke trails.ā€ ( as a ship takes damage ) and not just ā€œfire and smokeā€.

To retain players, advertise other games in the launcher

Nice try, but still obvious.

You continue to speak without thinking.

You mean, undo the deletion of firetrails. This is something they removed, not something they are adding.

And yes firetrails is possible in space - light shafts are not. Once they got done undoing their damage to firetrails, hopefully they will undo their light shaft damage.

Then maybe they will start work on tuning down the new Nebula’s some, so it can feel a little spacey to fly around in Eve again.

EVE Online needs a game director; development feels chaotic.

Maybe someone from EA or Activision? Release the same stuff with minimal changes for full price each year. Trademark Crossovers with Art the Clown or the Terminator as Avatars. Lootboxes for money and ads in each menue. Battlepass, Battlepass Premium and Battlepass Premum Ultimate Elite each month. I sense a great future!

And not forget NPC market orders for 100 ISK each item. To prevent market spikes and equal accessibility to all items!

Even a broken clock’s right twice a day.

Let’s call this one of those moments.

Join the fight against evil in a Marvel crossover event.

Marvel is heading in one direction…

Bottom line: Thunderbolts is one of the weaker box office performers in the MCU post-2020 era, well-reviewed but underwhelming in earnings.

Why do you think that is?

Because while it might be a well made movie from the standpoint of the movie critics, it just isn’t what the average cinema visitor expects or likes to see. It’s funny at some point, but overall remains pale and non-exicting.

[spoiler warning, don’t read further if you don’t want to know anything about the movie!]

I mean, people go to superhero movies to see real superheroes fighting godlike-strong villains by throwing superbeams, magic spells, a skyscraper or a moon on them. And what do they get?

  • a Sister of Black Widow that can do basically the same stuff, but half as sexy and with a big mouth. Of course the same, boring, endless times repeated story of the big bad soviet-union child-assassin-training past that almost broke her mentally but she turned away from evil blabla… how many times have we heard that story now in how many movies?
  • her drunken dad, completely out of shape, training and motivation, having the heart at the right spot but besides soaking up some minor blows like a falling rock or a punch for the group, isn’t really useful or competent in battle. Superpower: Not giving a ā– ā– ā– ā–  if a thrown desk hits him. Oookay.
  • A Captain America Copy that just isn’t as good looking and also not as powerful or intelligent. Oh, actually two of them. So yeah, they can punch like a Gorilla, get hit like the drunken dad and don’t get tired too fast. Great, but sounds pretty… weak? Compared to whats going on in that Marvel Universe at least…
  • What else? The short-range teleporting Ghost-Assassin. Okay, a bit useful but in the end usless if they would ever encounter a real supervillain that is just immune to her small-caliber handguns and a moderate karate kick from behind…

So, conclusion:
Those should be the NEW AVENGERS? Really? They couldn’t protect Earth from any threat seen in the past Marvel movies. Even second- and third-row villains would single-handed completel wipe the floor with them. No matter if they have a good plan or some fancy gimmicks. They are simply too weak, magnitutes too weak, to challenge an Ulton, Thanos, Hela, Dr. Doom…
As perfectly shown in the fight against Sentry: If it wasn’t for that ā€œhe didn’t really kill people, just dive into the void and talk him out of his evildoing guilt-trapā€ plottwist, earth would have been ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  up. Badly.

So, if I want to see some above-average fighting skills, I can watch MMA (or for more of a show: Wrestling). It wasn’t that bad, but really nothing I would recommend to watch. Or would want to watch again.
