How to sell BP Copies

Hey there,

I have some maxed out BP’s that I can copy and sell, but what’s the best way to do that? Someone in Jita told me to search contracts and kind of go from there, but is that the only way? Seems a little like shooting in the dark without tracers if you know what I mean.

Contract system is the best way to publicly sell copies in the game. You can also technically offload them on the Hypernet and some guys do that, but that’s kind of ‘scammy’ and don’t expect huge demand for common ones over there.

Yep, don’t think there’s any other way or if there is it is much less efficient and convenient than simply posting on the contract market.

I’ve seen people put it in their bio as well. That they have such and such BPCs available on demand. But that is very random and I think ineffectual, for obvious reasons.

I often buy BPCs via contracts, particular auctions., to make items for the Paragon deliverables amd daily rewards.

But it is not very clear to me the (game’s) logic, that let’s the owner of BPOs make unlimited amounts of BPCs at a very tiny cost.

Would thought that once a BPO is researched, so much ISK went in there that the owner would want to make the money back through selling the finished goods instead of BP…

There is a market channel called “Blueprints” in game, where I have sold quite a bit of BPCs.

Also it is always a good idea to check who buys multiple of your BPCs and then just ask him if he needs those BPCs on a regular basis and would a agree to a long-term copy contract. In return, you offer a discount or maybe a delivery service to a station of his choice.

I did that for some years, delivering thousands of ship-BPCs to big alliances once a month. Dirt cheap of course, quite a bit below Jita price, but in the end I only needed to start the jobs at the 01st of the month and collected all the copies 30days later. And then did one Blockade Runner turn to a lowsec-system at the edge of 0.0., getting paid some billions for that each month. Never made easier money.

Of course it might take a while to find a big ship builder willing to buy BPCs large scale. Most of them have their own BPOs and make their own copies…

For some tech 1 modules, I guess. But for a lot of BPOs the cost is not tiny let alone ‘very tiny’ at all to copy them. Relative to cost of the BPO it’s much cheaper, of course, but relative to the price the BPC sells at the copy fee can amount to a significant fraction of it. Not only is the cost not ‘tiny’ but it isn’t a particularly fast process either. At least not for those copies that are worth selling.
