Whenever I see someone claim ganking is easy, then look up their kb to find out they’re a +5 who hasn’t ganked a single thing in high sec ever, I admit, I giggle a bit.

Whenever I see someone claim they looked up someone’s alt on the forums as proof of past actions, I admit, I giggle a bit too.

“Oh this is just an alt, I have a main that’s WAY better and I do other things on!”

I’ve never heard that before.

Sorry, but I can only work with the information I have on hand, not assumptions or claims.

You’re right though, ganking is easy. But what makes it easy is practice and experience. And lots of it. You don’t become a ganking expert in a heartbeat, and no, not everyone is going to be able to pick it up, quickly or otherwise.

Make sure when you call someone ‘half retarded’, you don’t look so yourself by using the wrong “you’re”.

It’s embarrassing.

Anyway, reporting you for personal attacks. There’s no call for that at all. Grow up.

Highsec is 100% safe, provided you’re not a moron. This includes 100% safety from ganking.

My freighter alt has flown the same Charon in highsec for nearly a decade. Never been ganked. Never been close. Why? Because I’m not a moron.

You have to be a moron to get ganked in highsec.

Small ships that are very valuable are often ganked just for lols. Now, you dont have to get profit, green killboard is enough of incentive too.

No ship is safe from ganking, there just have to be enough of incentive to do that. This includes grudges, emotional responses. Even mistakes.

Nobody is safe. This is EVE philosophy.

Please dont use argument “you were ganked therefore you are a moron”. Its not true. Its only stigmatization and doesnt get into reasons why people can gank and are ganked. Please think it over more thoroughly. For your own good.

Now that on the face of it seems rather moronic, no out cyno.

However when you look at the characters killboard you find that it is a character used to operate Supers for Burning Naplam a top line NCDOT. corp.

And that is a rather nice fleet kill killboard.

I noticed the super loss which is an interesting fit, obviously a story there:

Anyway I have the feeling that this person is actually a high level NCDOT. player, but I am not sure, but all one can say is well played to the gankers, they got a hell of a pay day and helped Provi into the bargain… In other words the gankers likely moved damn fast before the JF could get its out cyno in place… Note three different ships with points detailed, but the timeline is not detailed, so I think this was a catch by very skillful players on an equally skilled player. So I would suggest you think again about throwing the word moron around in terms of ganking.

He can’t cyno when I destroy it as his jf comes through. Pre-lighting is dumb tho

First nice thing ive seen you say about anyone. and its me

I’m very skilled, this is true :grinning:

I’d be a bit kinder and say that being merely foolish is enough. As I was in transporting something very expensive in a badger. I only survived in not compounding the stupidity by not tanking the ship.

An alt of mine is a ganker, and sometimes the gank fleet will go after a secondary target which means one extra level of precaution is to stay away from obvious targets when “hostiles” are in system.

Actually I have said quite often that you guys are exceptionally good at what you do.

Yeah that was dumb, though I am not sure I would call him a moron, but well played…

Why? Everyone has off days and everyone makes mistakes.
Choose to do something moronic and in that instance the person is a moron.

And as Remiel pointed out, simply being part of one of the boy’s clubs doesnt rule out having a failure in logical thought. Im not sure why you think it should.

Having a failure in logical thought makes you a moron? I don’t think so.

Uh ok. Think what you like, but people do moronic things due to it constantly. So if this is about the semantics of the word “moron”, you should probably troll elsewhere.

Next youll be saying flying a JF through Perimeter is a carefully thought out ultracool strategy.

Some friends and I once flew an Orca straight into what we knew was an NC. cyno trap. Naturally, they took the bait and dropped everything. Then, our actual force appeared in the system they just jumped their supercaps from, a system they didn’t want to lose, killed their ability to cyno straight back, and took the system.

Stuff that looks valuable can be a great distraction. But I know you’re talking about in terms of an actual hauling run.

For the record, we didn’t want their system, we wanted their R64s in Kor-Azor. Their system was ransom. They gave us two towers for it. Fun times.

Well exactly that. Besides, even if the guy was playing it as safe as he could (I only have the provided citation to go on) it still doesnt over rule the reality that the vast majority of successful ganks happen due to incompetance or willful ignorance.

I know.

I just enjoy telling stories. I’m at that EVE-age now.

Everyone makes errors, show me a man who doesnt make them in his whole life. Are we all morons? We only make errors and we learn.

But…

Yeah but I prefer the way Archer phrases it.

“Idiots doing idiot things because they’re idiots”

Sounds like he had a lot of expeirience in that.
