You can look at see statistics to see how many jumps have happened from 30 minutes to 24 hours ago. Also how many ships and pods have been destroyed. It’s quite handy.
You need the Geography and Statistics setting. Its easy.
Ok, admittedly I have not opened it up in a long time because of my inability to understand how to properly read it, I’m definitely wishy washy about some things.
it’s all part of the game play, the excitement of being hunted and being able to avoid them.
you could also grab a couple of mates and bait yourselves a few kills.
when you can only see one option your doing it wrong, it would have taken you less time to google an option than make and respond to this thread.
Then they may want to play WoW
Contact is what EVE is built upon, its pretty much impossible to avoid all contact and interactions with other players, and this is by design
No idea what exactly this section even related to if i’m honest, EVE is a PvP game, the P’s stand for Player, there being 2 of them indicates that interactions generally require more than 1 player, the MM in MMO also should have made this fairly clear, here is the thing, this is how the game is designed, this is how the game is meant to be played, if this style of gameplay does not meet up with your needs then there is a solution, find another game
The whole thing to simplify is this, people avoid as much as possible others in game because you just never know who’s gonna have a thing up their wazoo.
I’ve been in game since 2010 in all that time my interactions with others has been friendly (with the exception of 1 time), but the other side of the coin has been that most non-invitational interactions have been hostile or some kind of shenanigans to get some reaction.
So when I post that yeah I avoid as much contact as possible it’s not out of ‘antisocial’ as it is to avoid a one-sided interaction for the amusement of someone who’s cup is never filled.
You’ve been playing since 2010 and don’t know how to use the map?..and don’t know what you need to do when you don’t know something in EvE?
Obviously you don’t want to know.
Your (non) problems are of your own making.
Behold, the future of EvE!
Yeah I’m around off and on through the years but eve isn’t my life again I do the activity I want, if you know every nook and cranny of eve good for you.
The map isn’t as important when you live in high and becomes more relevant when you start to get around in the lower realms which so far hasn’t provide me with a reason to continue to go to low or WH, or null as always looking behind you’re back isn’t my cup of tea and is more of a chore then entertainment which is my goal.
And this is a problem because?
Yes, that is how PvP generally works, people don’t pre-arrange times to fight each other like kids on a playground, if you undock you risk getting shot at, this IS the nature of EVE, which you are already well aware of, undocking makes any PvP invitational as you have invited them to shoot you by virtue of your ship existing outside of a station
Then like i said, maybe consider something like WoW which will better suit your needs of invitational PvP
Oh you poor poor thing, you must have clearly never flown through niarja and seen the massive concord blobs on gates as a result of suicide ganks, or flown in mission hubs where code like to frequently hunt for low effort kills, the map is a pretty useful tool regardless of where you live
Meh, Zzzzzz.
I do, but I do it cloaky style so don’t care because no need to, as I have said in the past if you are going to worry about a gank in high then that means you need to look at your plans.
Don’t care about the lower realms anymore, waste of time in my opinion because I’m not trying to be a space lord or a pawn.
This is a strong sentence. Let’s think for a second. What do you think is more profitable for CCP:
- players went from Eve to WoW
- WoW come to Eve
It’s just business, nothing personal
A lot of poeple farm in wh space. What you have to learn is to collapse wh. Then you can be the static of someone else and be ganked. But if you life in a wh and you have ships you can change in it. Then you are able to be “alone” for a while.
