No one is defenseless in Eve untill they decide to disarm.
I know the crew you are talking about and I think it would be fairly easy to get rid of them.
All you have to do is keep their gankers from warping long enough for concord to show up.
They will go red once they decide to get rid of you and once that happens it’s open season.

A coordinated group with a clear strategy should be able to push uncoordinated solo players off valuable resources to some degree. You’re not entitled to free use of anything in eve outside of starter systems. Acting like you are is the wrong mindset.

I have been mining in Hek with my mining alt for maybe 12+ years almost daily. Once I got ganked around 2016, otherwise no one bothers me.

New Eden is HUGE. There are plenty of other systems to mine in.
That group doesn’t want Hek system and the whereabouts to be mined by “riff-raff” like me? Not a problem, I won’t live or do business in Hek or the surrounding systems.

I dont see why they arent at least as cool as your lot?

If they can claim to control the ore of Hek and actually do it, thats going to be an impressive feat. If they do it over more than a weekend, thats a VERY impressive feat.
