I warned you guys. But you didn't listen

I would say, not a chance in hell?

Thanks a lot!

Two changes have really screwed over small nullsec groups at this point, removing a timer on medium structures and reintroducing passive moon mining. At the moment ‘medium sized elite’ PvP groups are grabbing moons for passive income and they are grinding down those that try to take back their moons. The bigger groups as far as I can tell are moon mining by hand and don’t really care so much.

I am guessing that CCP decided that the medium groups needed to grow so that they could take on the larger groups, but at the cost of the small groups that lived in nullsec space and did mine by hand. There you go, explanation for you all , I don’t think this necessarily favours the Imperium and Panfam, but it is immensely destructive to small groups in nullsec.

And yes, some are about to give up, or have done so already. Out of the Blue left Scalding Pass because they were being squeezed like this. Apoc left before this really got a head of steam, and moved on to other pastures.

As I never did moon mining as such it does not impact me directly, but I know a number of players who developed into that and were very active with T2 indy and moon mining by hand and they have lost all of that, some have said let’s go back to what they did before, and others have given up.

What will happen is that these medium powers will leave you in your nullsec space with what they don’t want if you don’t hinder them in any way. My lot tried to get a decent moon back, when the drfiters did their thing to stop such easy movment through a certain WH. So got some blow back for that, the case of being brave and up for it, blowing up in your face so to speak.

CCP will evantuary rebalance all of this, so people will just have to give up, do something else and await CCP’s next panic mode adjustment…

Reduced in size and lost members, going back to basic stuff and less interested and focussed, reducing content for all, I suppose not quite killed off, but you know not so energised about the game and what they are doing. I suppose some of these players can go and rejoin or join the Imperium or Panfam, is that a good thing?

Yeah because Bob from marketing is making benevolent choices when it comes to players lives, and isn’t concerned about product life cycle or maximizing profits.

@Inquisitor_Tyr
I’m sorry but you must have the wrong person. I don’t know any Bob from marketing.

Only BoB I know died a long time ago. In fact, when Goons used treachery to kill the Band of Brothers it really was the end of the sandbox as we knew it. The era of powerblocs has been in place for almost a decade now. It’s all renters for isk/money laundering schemes anymore.

Hi. Would you care to elaborate on that?
Thank you.

“Hi. Would you care to elaborate on that?
Thank you.”

I’ll pass, thank you.

:frowning: Great. Now I’m going to have to find someone to explain it to me… I guess that’s another thread sigh

I was going to explain what he ‘might’ have meant, but I saw that you opened a forum post and had it explained by Kezrai who talks a lot of sense about Eve.

@Dracvlad That’s sweet of you, thank you anyway, Dracvlad. Kezrai does know her EvE to a T and, after a bit of a snag, I was able to get that answered.

Sorry, didnt get your point…?

BoB is and alliance.
Serenity is a server.

BoB was destroyed because of in-game mechanics flaws and smart use of it by their enemies, Goons.

Serenity was wiped off by CCP just because playing on it lost all sense.

Serenity is still active wtf you smokin

And? Talk about a strawman…

Yes, after complete wipe. It was wiped and then restarted from scratch

Exactly … I started playing in 2005. I stopped in 2008 and came back 6 months ago. Eve has always been run by big alliances. You either pay them rent, join them or go back to empire. All .5 space and lower is owned by someone and if you just set up shop somewhere it’s going to get all bloweds up whenever the owner figures it out. Has always been this way, and will always continue to be that way.

Isn’t serenity the qa server?

Serenity is the Chinese server.

Singularity (SiSi) is the test server

Well, there is no longer a single independent entity left in the south. Only power blocks. Minus the coalition Scan Stakan and the 4 alliances that were part of it. More skeletons for the CCP with its “revival of the nulcheck”.
CCPs are rapidly turning all of Eve into a 2-pole map, which has no place for small and medium-sized organizations

I just saw one of the major alliances start looking at moons outside of their territory and went after moons owned by a medium power. It looks at first glance like a group or TZ action, but maybe the larger alliances are going to start doing what they did before?
