How about a skill that reduces the mineral cost of making multiples like 5 or more of an item in an industry by 5% I would name the skill MAKING IN BULK.
Jobs started at an engineering structure (Azbel, Raitaru and Sotiyo) receive an 1% input material reduction - though no input material is ever reduced from 1 to 0. Each item category (such as âship moduleâ or âammunitionâ) there is also a rig that reduces the input material requirement by 2% ~ 4% , depending on where the structure is located.
Further, all blueprints can be researched to provide up to 10% input material reduction.
Every good industrialist has a full palette of fully researched blueprints, and many industrialists operate at bonused structures. Part time industrialists and newbros can usually obtain fully researched blue print copies via contracts.
Have you noticed how âlower mineral costsâ are in fact a very rare bonus in EVE and not present in any skills yet?
Itâs because skills with âreduced mineral costsâ would create a new baseline cost for items on the market. Such a skill causes items that are produced without the skill maxed to be produced at a loss, which pushes out every new player and every older player who is new to industry out of industry because everything they produce would be done at a loss until they have maxed out this new skill.
It would be a mandatory skill to start doing industry profitably.
I donât think thatâs a good idea.
