Because without DX9, the eve client would have been unplayable for ALOT of people after the ‘apple mac launcher update’ cause CCP broke something.
Its fixed now…no idea when they did it, but I was swapping between dx 9 and 11 on my laptop for 2-3 weeks after that update and it still wasnt working, so i’ve just left it on dx9 ever since.
