Industry is a relatively complex area in EVE and there is basic information on EVE Uni wiki pages which will hugely benefit guys like you, who are just starting out.
I’ll just point it out right away that you don’t need your own station/structure to build anything, and you don’t need to worry yourself with station fittings and ‘modules’. You can use any NPC station that has manufacturing capability and for most cases these will be fine. Check your skills for sure. There are different skills needed to manufacture different items.
