Providing a global info about the ore in ALL systems makes no sense because there is no way to know what ore and grade of it are in a system unless that system is controlled by a faction/player corp, which is WHY we don’t know anything about the ore in the rest of the systems of the galaxy that are not part of the game, let alone the entire galaxy, let alone other galaxies.
So it would make much more sense if the info for the ore in the map is “filtered” based on the standings of the character with the factions/corporatoin that sovereigns the system, if the standing are above a threshold - include them in the data that is send to the player. The only exception of this rule would be system that are tagged as being involved in faction warfare, I have never flown in those so my guess is they are neither of each but both the factions that war in them could provide info for the pilots, also systems that are under pirate invasion so the pirates would provide info to the respective high standing pilots! So in my case I should get no info from the systems controlled by the Serpentis, Sansha, Raiders and Angles as my ratings with them are way bellow -5.0.
The rocks in one part of space are pretty much the same as the rocks in any other part of space. The information is available in out-of-game tools anyway. There’s no point in removing info from the client.

No they are not!!! The ores don’t have an ubiquitous distribution across the entire map, some ores can be found in high sec, others in low and null, some ore can be found in the asteroid belts inside systems that belong to a particular faction like Plagioclase in Gallente and Minmatar space OR Kernite and Omber in Amarr spaces!
But that applies for everyone not just nullseccers, if highseccers have to grind standings for this and that, so should the nullseccers, or they shouldn’t come in here blaming other players that they WANT IT EASY when asking for changes to make the gameplay easier, when they themselves aren’t willing to put the effort.
Nobody is stopping you from mining ORE, you can still mine anything you want, but if your standing is not above 0, you have to fly to the system to see what’s in it, don’t expect everything on a plate just because you are a nullseccer!
