Was trying to help an Alpha guy who was curious about how to escape either it’s possible or not in ceptor vs. null sec gate camp. So question is how do actually locking + tracking +(flight time of the ammo and here I’m kinda confused if there are any flight time should be counted for projectiles and hybrids). Not sure what you want to know + prove, but a couple of things. Guns apply their damage instant when activated, flight time is only relevant for launchers. How is this related to gate camps? The point of a camp is to warp disrupt the target before it can warp. The magic number here is 2s align time, because of the tick mechanic. With 2.1s align you are in warp after 3s … or not, because you are dead in any competent camp. If you can manage to be in warp within 2s, you can only be caught in exceptional cases. Finally, Alphas and ceptors?

Sub 2s align, and he should be fine. However dying to another solo ceptor or other explorers is another beast. Always keep an eye on the overview, highlight a warp out before you start hacking, color other player ships … so as soon as your “signal color” pops up, click warp.
EDIT: … and never fit an AB, but use MWDs, you want to be fast in case. For example if you are landing outside docking range, 1s of MWD safes you, crashing the gate is another example, and not to mention flying between cans in a hacking site.

No ship in EVE can do below 1 second. There was a thread in the old forums with an article about align times, insta-locks and server ticks.
Everything that warps sub 2s should be fine unless the insta-locker lives in London and has an internet ping of sub 5ms.

You don’t need the nomads on that fit at all. Even without, and downgrading to an EM-705, you get 0.985.
