Interface needs updated to prevent unnessesary PLEX charges in SKNR

Actual behaviour:
The SKNR interface does not notify or prevent users from using the system when not trained in the required skills. This results in a loss of PLEX.

Expected behaviour:
As demonstrated by other UIs such as the ship interface, a message should be displayed notifying the user that they do not have the required skills to design or store a SKNR and the button(s) should be disabled and greyed out until they do.

I am not planning on training the skills for this system in the near future as it’s not a priority. I would like CCP to intiate a PLEX refund once they have confirmed the cost of the PLEX used to design and store a SKNR and that it was paid from my PLEX account. As plex is a currency bought with real money I expect it to be treated as such.

I have already submitted a ticket but unfortunely both the CS staff involved have 1. not understood the issue and 2 directed me here.

This is not s satsifactory CS process and I hope that CCP take the time to review and train thier staff to a higher standard of communication. At present the processes that are in place are causing a lot of extra work for both parties and routinely resulting in a negative experience for the user. This is a shame as EVE is a game that deserves the support it needs to thrive.

If anyone has any other avenues I can try in order to process this PLEX refund or how to intiate a formal complaint I would appreciate it. I have asked that the ticket be escalated as such but I can’t find any formal complaints procedures online. This I feel may be breaking the law in the UK and EU regions in which they operate.

Sounds like PEBKAC. I have no idea what you’re on about.

  1. It costs 0 PLEX to design and store a SKIN (click Save or Save As).
  2. It costs PLEX to sequence a SKIN (click Finalize Design, then Create SKIN).
  3. Create SKIN can only be clicked if you have all the required components and sequencers.
  4. PLEX is not deducted until the sequencing job is submitted.
  5. By default, you can only store five designs and sequence one SKIN at a time.
  6. Alphas can only sequence SKINs for Alpha-capable ships. Omegas can sequence SKINs for all ships.
  7. No sequencing skills are required to save a design or sequence one SKIN at a time. The sequencing skills increase the default number of studio save slots, reduce sequencing time, increase the number of concurrent sequencing jobs, and increase the number of multi-run jobs.

If you have further issues with SKINR, refer to the documentation.

Don’t use your PLEX vault, store PLEX in a Secure Container, enable to log and set items to Lock when put into the container.

This will give you a log of when your PLEX is used, which the vault is completely missing.

It will also prevent you from accidentally use PLEX on CCPs various traps to cause accidental PLEX drains.
