Introducing Exordium!

You’re a stupid troll alt who doesn’t know crap about anything..

Either STFU or post with your main…

Obviously you’re the one who’s confused… Bloodline never affected your skills, your choice of career dictated the starter school which affected your starting skills…

So for character’s bloodline, I was actually referring to the character’s Faction… Yeah, I may have used the wrong term but if all you have is making a big deal about which terminology is used, then you’re clearly a troll..

The Dev Blog clearly states the new Exordium Region contains 53 systems, 12 of which are New Player Starter Systems…

Now I shouldn’t have to explain this but each of the 4 main Factions have 3 different New Player Starter Systems… Each one of those 3 starter systems belongs to 1 of 3 different New Player Starter Corps within that Faction…

Now if there’s going to be more than one Republic University (RUN) starter system in this new region and a bunch of new players all pick RUN Corp, then I can accept it’s only about spawn location…

But since there’s only 1 RUN Corp starter system and only 3 Minmatar starter systems total, it’s not about spawn placement…

In fact this statement says it all:

The central CONCORD constellations contain the 12 new starter systems, into which new players will be dynamically placed as they finish the AIR NPE.

Combine that with:

rookies will be placed based on the load of each system, so the new region can dynamically adjust to accommodate periods of high newbie influx

That’s not about spawn locations, it’s about CCP’s new algorithm dynamically placing players in various starter schools based on the load of each system so that the Region can dynamically adjust itself when dealing with a large influx of new players…

So… anyone not starting in Exordium will have to go through the Chain of Permaganks Leading to THE Yulai Permagank, and any player being “shipcasted” away from Exordium will never be able back assuming they even survive the Shipcaster Exit Permagank(s) For LOLz around each empire’s capital system…

Because, you know, bottlenecks are an awesome survival tool for inexperienced players vs bored griefers. Now, noobs are scattered all over the place. Enter Exordium’s single entry and single exit points and a few well placed permacamps will leave noobs no choice but to be ganked.

Time ago I would have called this CCP Peak Competence, but nowadays nobody has any doubts about why CCP devs work at CCP of all places: they’re either noobs in their first rodeo or veterans unfit for game design competence. :woman_shrugging:

We can’t read your mind, you saying the wrong thing is not my fault. You were the one using the specific term and not the general term of race. You can’t fault others for your inability to communicate and for people taking you at your word.

Before apocrypha, bloodlines affected some of your starting skills, race and school did as well. It’s why I went with a Brutor for this character and not Sebestior.

Now on to your critique.

Well all 53 are starter systems for new players, not just 12 of them.

The station in the starting system you spawn in is not really that important is it? Right now, we all spawn in an AIR station, have you thrown a fit about that? We then do a few missions and get sent to career agents. We hardly interact with the school station at all. Once you are finished with the new player experience, you can just ship cast to your preferred empire, which will be the FW HQ systems, or you can pick to exit via Yulai…you have that choice of where to go, all within 4 jumps.

Everyone would start in Exordium, there is no starting elsewhere once this is in place.

They don’t exit out to the capital systems, they exit out in FW HQ systems.

CCP said that they will monitor if ganking does become a thing that happens to newbros, however it barely happens as it is.

No, the Dev Blog clearly states:

Starting this summer, all new players will begin the game in Exordium, which contains new starter and career agent systems within a single 53 system region.

The central CONCORD constellations contain the 12 new starter systems, into which new players will be dynamically placed as they finish the AIR NPE.

The starter school is where the Career Agents are located… The AIR station is the NPE that teaches New Players how to interact with the UI and control their ship…

Thanks for showing what I was saying.

Right, and what is stopping CCP from doing that in Exordium? You are the one thinking that choice of race was taken away.

Youre really upset to cant steal from new players? Come on dude lol

Why would anyone set up a gate camp in a 0.9 high sec system to kill newbies in Corvettes and T1 frigates?

You are exaggerating the dangers these new players will face.

I dont understand why. The game did not become less complicated, the social aspect is staying the same, maybe a bit more boring.

I feel like all that work could have been done with something else, like Jove space, to open it for exploration, and an Epic Jove Arc could have been added.

Maybe something like this:

ib4 CCP forgets that POS can be anchored in 1.0 systems now and forgets to restrict them in the new systems.

Start handing out free ships with contraband in the cargo.

Sounds exactly the type of system in our dreams.

A peaceful place where the NPC are happy too!

Well in exordium nothing can be anchored or deployed except for a jetcan.

I can only assume, that republic or all the others we currently have, will NOT be the starting schools and they will all be new.

I fail to see what the big problem with this new region is. CCP wants to introduce a region for new players, where some of the harms of New Eden are reduced or even shut off. Ok, it’s a path to explore, and we will learn if it helps or not.

From what I understood, everyone can enter and leave Exordium via the stargate to Yulai. And in addition, there is a one-time usage ship-caster to the FW headquarters of your faction.

Can Exordium be used to shortcut trade or hauling routes to the main hubs? Well, you cannot jump directly to the main trade hubs. So, the “last mile” still needs to be covered somehow. You would need to bring your goods to Manifest/Exordium first, to then use a recycle-alt to ship-cast it somewhere else. And then fly it to Jita again.

Will Exordium prevent people from getting ganked? While inside Exordium, yes. Mostly. Some people will still try to find ways to kill people there. And outside of Exordium, piracy and ganking will continue. No big deal. And of course, fighting a new player still is not making one super rich. Unless I missed that most wealth is amassed by the new players in EVE.

Will bot-users and AFK-miners abuse the safety in Exordium? Yes. But then what? They still need to get the stuff out and to their production sites. If taxes are high enough, producing goods in Exordium will be too expensive to be competitive. Even reprocessing will be less effective, as there won’t be Refinery structures in that region. Mine and compress it, then bring it to the next production site, which is then outside of Exordium. So, feel free to camp Yulai and the surrounding systems to prevent this safely mined ressources from being processed. Does this affect new players (real players doing their first steps)? Yeah, the miners grow a bit slower in wealth. If they want more ISK, leave Exordium. On a side-note, this might lure some bot-users and AFK-miners to the starter region, making it easier for CCP to identify. Bad luck.

To sum it up, all wealth, mining, production, ratting and mission running will only happen in Exordium region once it is live. A sandbox inside a sandbox. Gankers will starve, PVP will stop to exist. There will be no need to travel to dreaded highsec, lowsec or nullsec systems anymore. Did I get it right?

Not anymore.

Were there details about the implementation of Exordium the rest of the world does not know about

What if the only mineable resource are the non ores that are part of missions ?

Could just be useless stuff like carbon.

There is much EVE which does not belong, yet for 20 years its has been tolerated. The region is not even in the game and yet number of armchair commentators are complaining without basis.

I did notice Udema has been a bit quieter, it would be a fair wager that the latest banwave resulted in few TotallyNotBotting[00..99] miscreants loosing their accounts.

Oh i didnt mean zero isk. What i mean is such low isk per hour that when you have learned the ropes, staying around there does not help much.

There is no way the income is going to be more than the cost of the electricity. Botting a few accounts on high yield ISK/hr used to be very profitable when super ratting was at its peak, now its likely that more money could be made setting up a dunking booth and a sign that says “I like to gank n00bs in Eve Online, 3 throws 5 dollars!”

Very good point. Those most resistive to this change arguing about ISK or resources is a smokescreen, the real loss is power and authority. Figuratively in the new region these people and their opinions no longer matter. The same agitation happened when AFK cloaking was brought under control. The same arguments about changing core game mechanics, the irritating defelctions about AFK people are no threat. Cloaking is in a much healthier state, the mass multiboxing groups that could blanket an entire region like Aunt Jemmima’s Southern Kitchen are gone and only those who are legitimately actually trying to camp ( or cheating with a macro ) remain.

I guess you can multibox a Noctis and move around people’s jetcans.

Wonder if snowballs will still work. I don’t know what safety locked to green means in practice.

Also wonder if PI will be enabled in these systems.

I imagine a higher amount of new players will accidentally attack CONCORD customs NPC and have their status permanently lowered as well since it does cause suspect status and there’s no way to raise CONCORD standing.
